Infinity:Beginnings

added 4 years ago O Mental Young adult

It was true. The transdimensional miltiverse did in fact have much in common with a holographic projection. Jeff could see it plainly now. It was so different than he used to think, than humans think. Everything was so maleable. It was heady, being able to walk through existance seeing it as it really was, being able to edit it with ease.

At first, the quasars seemed pretty damned amazing. He had heard about them, how powerful they were. But experiencing one up close and personal was mind-blowing. And then, when he started reaching out into other dimensions, reaching further and further... he discovered things that regular human beings simply weren't capable of comprehending. As was the case with all things in life, one needed a reference point to begin to understand something. But humans saw so little of what actually IS, that most of whas is... is simply beyond that reference point, and thus beyond comprehension.

What is Jeff maneuvered his tiny human body with ease, moving it to and fro in its little tiny circle of space on the little tiny planet Earth in the little tiny solar system man had designated "Sol".

Things were so very different than science fiction even began to comprehend. The problem with human art, science and entertainment was... well, it was human-centric. Humans were at the center of it, humans were often the focus of it, and when they weren't, it was still understood in human terms.

Jeff couldn't even explain in human terms what he was any more. Was he human any longer? The simplest answer for this and so many other questions people would pose to him (if they knew what he could do now), was "Yes. And no."

As Jeff walked into the kitchen, feeling the morning sunlight catch his arm on his way to the fridge for some OJ, he was also exploring a new dimension he had discovered. His IQ was immeasurable in human terms, and while his abilities as a human being seemed normal enough, he had breached the mortal vale, and knew how to walk among the galaxies as easily as walking to the mailbox.

Part of the problem of understanding was the constructs humans created by which they understood and taught a concept. They were as limiting as they were empowering. People could only handle so much, and the mind was sophisticated enough to use shorthand in many ways that people never even noticed. Like when one drove to work and didn't remember much of the drive there - and were instead thinking about their weekend plans at the lake. Muscle memory. Eye retention. So many other things in biology and life that shared and revealed the true nature of reality, if one was only adept enough to know what to look for and where to look.

But this was all basic for Jeff now. As he simultaneously drank a glass of orange juice and basked in the negative quasons (he named them, science was at least a thousand years from even suspecting anything like them existed) of an exotic inverted oddity he just discovered in what he was calling simply "the funny new dimension I just discovered," Jeff decided it would probably be best not to interfere with Earth too much, but that the savage unseen energy matrix that was about to consume all of reality 10000 years ago should probabl be delt with.

There. Done.

Jeff burped, and scratched his butt, thinking how interesting time was as a dimension, and how people think about time like it's so absolute. But honestly, for all the wonders and horrors he was experiencing with his expanded awareness, all the reality-altering thoughts occurring to him, a good butt scratching was still pretty damned satisfying.

"Good morning, Jeff."

Jeff smiled at his mom. She looked so rested, so much better than he had seen her in a long time. "Yes. It is. And it's only going to get better, Mom." He hugged her.
