A Cloning Machine

added 6 years ago O

Simon opened his front door to find a package that had been delivered. It was relatively large, about up to his waist.

“Excuse me sir!” Simon tried to tell as the delivery man walked away. “I think you have the wrong house!”

The delivery man kept walking and eventually drove out of sight.

Simon was annoyed. He didn’t order a package, maybe his parents did though.

Simon was home alone for a whole month while his parents were off on a business trip in Europe.

He hastily opened up the package to disappointment. It was an incubator. On the side it read “Clone-Cubator 4000” on the side.

What would his parents need an incubator for? They lived in the middle of a suburb. His parents weren’t exactly the crafty type.

Simon brought the box up to his room and took out the instructions.

-Thank you for volunteering for a free trial of our New and improved Clone-Cubator! Simple to use, for a simpler you!

Simon felt slightly off put by that.

-Flawlessly clone anyone or anything! Simply gather a sample of DNA and activate the machine! Control the number of Clones over a given point (Disclaimer: to handle such proportions of persons cloned, the New and improved Clone-Cubator will exponentially clone over the given period of time.)

Simon was intrigued now. Could this throng really work?

-Start from scratch! Use our many varying base models and make changes as you see fit! With this limited time offer, make changes to those clones where you gather the DNA! Choose from an assortment of options varying from loyalty, personality, and size!

Simon began to put the Clone-Cubator together as he read the last line of the manual.

-Worried about repercussions of multiple of you? No worries! Alter reality with one push of a button. Or, if you like to live in the edge, don’t! Happy Cloning!

The machine suddenly whirred to life. A small menu popped up on the side of the incubator. It requested either a DNA sample or a base structure.

Simon started with DNA and a small compartment opened up.

Simon grew nervous. What if he screwed things up? He didn’t want to clone himself. He rushed off next door to his older brother’s room. His brother had recently gone out on a date and Simon searches his brothers room for anything that might have DNA. He found a hair on his pillow and rushed back to his room.

He gently placed the hair in the compartment and the Incubator buzzed loudly, “DNA DETECTED OF KYLE HAUPFMAN. PLEASW CONFIRM.”

Simon giddily confirmed and an option came up to edit or proceed. Simon obviously picked...
