Sophie went through the spellbook, flipping through page after page trying to find a way to change them all back. Sophie thought about Laura. She didn’t want to be a pig, she just wanted her friends back, and now she was lost in the spell. Sophie had to change her back first. She began to read the incantation, hoping that she would return to normal, whatever that truly was.
Laura was enjoying herself. She sloshed through the piles and piles of mud in her back garden. She was truly happy, merrier than she has ever been. But then again, what was more merrier than her, a pig, wallowing in the mud.
Images flashed through her mind. Her pig mind tried to ignore them, but they were going through her mind at a rapid pace. For some reason, being in the mud didn’t feel natural. It didn’t feel good, or relaxing anymore. In fact, she hated it. No human should be in the mud.
And that’s when it all clicked.
“Sophie! Thank you, thank you, thank you! You’ve brought me back!”
Laura ran up and hugged Sophie, covering her fur in mud.
“Oh... sorry...”
“It’s fine. *ook* I’ll change the others back”
Laura smiled and ran up to the bathroom to wash off the dirt and finally get dressed.
Sophie read through the incantation again for Annie.
Nothing.
And with Lucy.
Still nothing.
Portia?
Nothing happened.
Sophie knew what this meant. They were stuck like this...
...forever.
