On the photo that Rick was holding, it seemed devoid of any human presence. Instead, there was only yet another cat, facing forward where the photo had been taken.
A Siamese cat. Male, perhaps, or maybe not.
Rick knew exactly what this meant. But it was far too late : falling on the ground, he barely managed not to hurt himself by landing on his four paws.
That's right. No hands, nor feet. He was now sporting paws and clawed fingers.
He looked around himself, seeing his front and back legs, his tail already swishing on command, the fur covering his body. And, of course, his retained manhood.
He felt warm. He felt his ears perking up, his sensible whiskers twitching.
Fortunately, he wasn't a kitten, but a well-grown cat. And the good news were just about it.
" Aww, look at you, kitty-cat ! "
Jamie was pandering at the photo, lovingly admiring how well it highlighted her precious cat. She went on to take Rick in her arms, which immediately enticed him into running to the next room, where his former human girlfriend had scurred away beforehand.
He couldn't care less about his new " master " and her complaints, and ran to hide.
That's when he met her, under the table, confused and scared.
" Emily ? " meekly asked Rick.
A spark in her slitted eyes made it look like she had recognized him.
" Rick ? " she yowled, though he was able to understand her. " Rick, what's happening ? Why are we like this ? Why is this happening to us ? "
He was having trouble answering. The thoughts were getting foggier by the moment, and it seemed he was getting more and more accommodated to his condition. Perhaps Emily too was going through the same thing.
" I... I don't know. The camera... it's doing... this to us. "
" We... we need it. We have to use it ! " urged his girlfriend.
She was somehow right, but he still had trouble focusing. His mind was almost breaking apart, and not much was needed to entice him into taking the role of the family cat.
At that moment, Jamie entered, looking for her treasured pets.
" Ahh... there you are, both of you ! " she said with a smile.
The camera was still in her hands, and there was no telling if she intended on using it once again.
