A Brisk Evening Waddle

"I think we should check out that carnival right now," Dirk says. You raise a thick eyebrow. "Really?," you say. "Of course I'm right there with you, but I'm suprised." Dirk nods, looking at you steadily. His eyes are still a little red from the crying. "A minute ago, I was afraid thinking of the carnival -- I just told you to get in the shower to put it off. I was afraid of what would happen if I went. I guess Dirk... I... whoever that was... well, he wasn't the greatest guy to be." You can't help but let out a cynical laugh. "Hello? Do you not remember how much of an asshole I was to you earlier? Bossing you around and bullying you? You weren't so bad. A huge geek, sure... but I was a total loser, inside and out." The man who was Dirk can only leave his pudgy mouth slightly open. You both know it's true. "I'm sorry," you say with sincerity. Dirk finally presses his lips together in a brave smile and puts his hand on your shoulder. "Well, that wasn't really you, was it? We're both different now. Let's do something about this. Together." The taller teen's pudgy hand squeezes your round shoulder and you feel a flutter inside you. Embarrassed by your feelings, you jump up. "Then let's go!"

---

The sweater was a bad idea. It's July, and you and Dirk are both sweating like pigs. Kind of looking like them too, with your squat, round bodies. You cast it away after only a few minutes of walking, throwing it into some bushes. After all, walking the short distance to the carnival was already proving pretty difficult. Your lopsided tits, no longer constrained by the sweater, flop around with each step. Your stride seems much shorter, and your thighs rub and chafe uncomfortably as you move. You can't remember your old height exactly, but you certainly weren't 5'1". But even though you noticed the difference in perspective immediately after getting most of your old mind back, you hadn't really put this body to the test in any significant way. At least Dirk is in the same boat, huffing and puffing alongside you.

Finally arriving at the carnival nearly an hour later, you gulp in lungfuls of humid air, trying to catch your breath after your evening walk. It's embarassing that only a mile and a half of walking would do this to you. "Hff... Looks like.... pfff.... it's closed.... hfff....," you pant between breaths. Dirk, leaning against the fence, simply nods. When you both recuperate, you speak again. "So what now?" Dirk wipes his glistening forehead with the back of one fat white hand, exposing a ring of sweat under his armpit. "We break in. There must be a back entrance. Maybe we can just take an antidote." You roll your head from side to side, weighing the suggestion. Dirk's eyes are glistening orange in the reflection from a nearby sodium lamp. He's waiting for an answer.

"Okay," you agree. "Really, the carnies are the ones who stole our bodies from us. We're just taking them back." Dirk grins and gestures for you to follow him. "It's kind of fuzzy, but I remember taking my -- I mean DIRK'S brother," your chubby friend says, dialing himself back, "past a back entrance. Didn't look like it had a fence." You walk behind him in close pursuit, the streetlights fading away and plunging both of you into deeper and deeper darkness.

When you get to the back entrance, you turn to Dirk. What now, you wonder?
