When they pulled up outside Justin's place Laura was pleasantly surprised. She hadn't anticipated a garbage man would be residing anywhere to too grandiose but his place was well kept and reasobably spacious. There was even a garden, but no pond which would be something of a dealbreaker for Annie. Nonetheless, Justin was right. For now their own place was too dangerous. She somehow doubted he had finished with them yet or forgotten about Portia.
It was late by now and Lucy, Annie, Sophie and Portia all found suitable places to stay for the night. Laura felt she needed to socialise with her host a little more however and sat opposite him on a sofa in his front room.
"So you really can't turn them back?" Justin gestured towards the next room where the others are sleepy. He tried his best not to notice how sexy Laura was looking in nothing but his work jacket "How are they supposed to live like that?"
"I think they've pretty much accepted it" Laura shrugged "There may be a way to restore them but I have no idea what it is"
"But you could just turn back from being a racoon? I feel like there is something you aren't telling me"
Laura hesitated a moment. She wasn't sure telling Justin about her curse was a good move. What if he decided to exploit it? On the other hand he was the only person so far seemingly trying to help her and her friends and she didn't want to lose his trust. Either way she had to answer the question quickly.
