"What?" said Jill. "Oh, like in that story about the town curse? If I had a choice, I'd choose dare. After all, I like my body the way it is. Besides, that was just a story to scare little kids. Why do you ask?"
Jennifer said, "Oh, it's quite real. I wasn't always a fox girl like this. But first, you chose dare. Let's see if this works on you: I dare you to stand up tall, and not to move your legs at all."
"Jennifer, are you all right? It's just a story. And you always were fox-like, everyone knows that. There's no point in pretending." Jill tried to walk away, but was surprised when she found that her legs wouldn't move. "Jen! What's going on?"
"Jill," said Jennifer, "the curse is real. You remeber the dare I gave you? Well, it worked."
Jill considered this for a moment, then realised that it was true. "Okay, Jennifer, you're right. Wait - are you serious? I mean, about your not being like this before?"
"Yep. That creep Kyle Perkins made me like this. I don't think it's too bad..." she said, staring at the ceiling wistfully. "... but I want my old body back," Jennifer finished.
"Jen, could I change you back? 'Cause if what I've heard about the curse is true, then I can pass the curse on now."
Jennifer nodded. "Yes, you could - just a moment!" She sneezed very loudly, and her fingers shortened even further. "Jill, just say the phrase to me, then when I choose to transform, change me back to my usual self."
"All right, Jen. Okay: transform or dare?"
"Transform."
"Jen, you will transform into..." Jill smiled. "You will transform back into your body, but you will shrink so that you are only as tall as my thumb. Everyone will think that your body is shaped like usual, but they won't think that you should be this small; they will think you should be your usual height."
"What? Jill, why did you say that?"
"First, Jennifer, nothing terrible can happen. If you don't like it, pass the curse back to me and I'll change you back. Right now, we can find out what it's like to be different! This should be a great oppurtunity!"
Jennifer looked furious, but couldn't help a small smile as the fur receded along with her tail, and her body reshaped untill she looked like she always had. Then, suddenly, she felt odd. It was as if she was going down an elevator, she supposed, but looking around she realised that she was actually shrinking. She had been half a head taller than Jill, but now her eyes were on the same level as Jill's neck.
"Are you okay, Jen?"
"I'm fine, Jill. Except I feel weird. Everything seems so... big, I guess."
Jill watched as Jennifer shrunk down further, only as tall as Jill's waist now. Jill knelt down, and picked up Jennifer.
"Hey!" said Jennifer. She looked down and noticed that the tattered clothes she was wearing had slipped off from her as she shrunk, small as she now was. "Jill, don't pick me up! I do not want you to pick me up!"
"Right now, Jen, you don't have much choice. Besides," said Jill, placing Jennifer, about a foot high, on a sink, "now I can see where you are."
Jennifer noted in the back of her mind that she was completely naked. But she didn't care; everyone else should have left by now, and this was a girl's bathroom anyway. None of those stupid jocks would see her like this.
Jennifer's changes stopped. "All right," she said.
"What?" said Jill. "I can't hear you!"
Jennifer realised that her voice would be quieter now that she was so small. She tried shouting. "Jill, can you hear me?"
"Yes," said Jill. "You don't look too bad, I must say. Don't make any sudden moves, because I have no problem with turning on the tap above your head. It would look funny: the amazing Jennifer, cowering from a little bit of water."
Jennifer was rather aggravated now. "Jill, transform or dare?" she shouted up at Jill.
