Chad sniffed himself. The scent was familiar, and he understood why Todd thought it was gross. He smelled like a wet dog. He shrugged, and said, "So Sinclair's into wet dogs? Who am I to say no?" He giggled and sprayed another coat all over his body. The more he sprayed, the less the smell bothered him.
Chad didn't notice that his skin was now covered with stubble all over, as all the dormant hair follicles on his body were activated by the spray. He felt happy. His tongue hung out. He touched the tip of it to his nose, he hadn't tried that successfully before. This time though, his tongue splatted right between his eyes. Chad laughed a short barking laugh. His fingers and thumbs weren't working right, but he managed to envelope his body as he dropped to all fours with the last of the contents of the spray can. The empty can rolled away.
It would have rolled all the way to the shower room probably, if a foot hadn't stopped it. A hand reached down, and shook it. Then a short giggle followed. The can disappeared into the young man's gym bag. A leash and collar came out of it. He walked leisurely over to the water spaniel standing on all fours in front of Chad's locker. Well, it was mostly water spaniel, but the hair was just growing in, and the snout and ears were still growing, but in a couple of hours, no one would mistake Chad for human anymore.
"Good boy," said the man, as he put the collar around Chad's neck and connected the leash. His strong hand tousled the blonde and black hairs on Chad's head. The blond ones would fall out as the new ones grew in. Water spaniel's shed, he thought with a smile. He guided Chad's face, soon to be muzzle to sniff his Speedo clad crotch. "Who's your master? Who's your master? That's right, Chad, Bruno's your master. Sniff, sniff. Learn the scent of your master. Too bad you turned down my invitation to join the swim team, Chad. But either choice, I get you, so I win. Yeah, that's a good boy. We're going to be best friends, now!" Bruno laughed maniacally. It echoed weirdly in the empty locker room.
