"Wait, wait, let's not do anything rash," said Richard. Jason couldn't resist raising an eyebrow at that. Since when has Richard ever exercised prudence? "Why don't you tell us what happened first," said Richard.
"After I took Dawn and Jenna home, I want to my house," said Peter.
"How are Dawn and Jenna?" asked Jason. He hoped Dawn wouldn't be mad because of what they did as Donna.
"Jenna seemed to have had a lot of fun," said Peter, "Dawn didn't speak much, but she didn't look mad."
Jason was relieved. He hated to have ruined their friendship like that. "Ok, continue," he said.
"Well, I went to my house and it's just how I remembered it, except that Mei Qi wasn't there," said Peter, "I looked around the house but I couldn't find any trace of her except for this." He held out a photo to Jason and Richard who looked at it. It showed Peter in a tuxedo standing next to a very pretty Chinese woman in a wedding dress.
"She looks lovely," said Richard, feeling the tiniest bit of envy. He was attracted to Peter's body, but it was clear he was straight and married.
"Except she doesn't exist," said Peter, "I couldn't find any other evidence she existed. Not our wedding certificate, her birth certificate, or anything. I even called the people I remembered are her friends but they had no idea who I was talking about. How can I live this way if everything about Peter is a lie?"
"Peter isn't a lie," said Richard, "He has a house, a car, he has co-workers who know him. Like you said yourself, reality has changed so that Peter has always existed."
"Then why can't Mei Qi?" demanded Peter.
Jason looked at the photo thoughtfully. Mei Qi was definitely a beautiful woman, curvier than the average Chinese woman. And he knew that the cuffs brought out the best from both people fusing. "It's because Mei Qi doesn't exist yet," he said.
"I knew it," said Richard, "She has to be another fusion. She just has to be formed from the right girls."
"That's great except I don't know who those girls are," said Peter.
"Well, we know at least one half of her is Chinese, if not both," said Jason.
"She might be made from more than two girls," said Richard.
"With a name like Mei Qi? Sounds doubtful," said Jason.
"Doesn't particularly narrow it down," said Peter.
"Well, we just need to think harder about it," said Richard. As much as he wanted Peter's body, he didn't want him to be anguishing over a non-existent wife.
