Even More Like Kate

added by InterGaz 4 years ago TG O Mental

You consider your very limited options. The left door had turned you into a copy of Kate, so it was probably right to go right. There was also a chance you would run back into the Al and Dylan. However, for some reason, you didn't really care too much about that. Also, you and Kate were already next to the left door.
"I don't really care which way we go," you inform Kate.
"Let's go left again then, I don't really feel like going over to the right,"Kate affirming her laziness.
Kate tries to pull open the door, but it doesn't seem to work. You grab onto the handle after she lets go and pull, but it is still to no avail.
"I'm fairly certain that if I couldn't do it you couldn't either Kara," she commented smugly.
"Well, maybe you were doing it wrong?" you reply, defending your actions.
"How are you doing it any different than I am?" She asks with a questioning tone.
As you lean on the door to explain, it pushes open with you falling flat on your face. Kate runs over quickly to make sure you are OK, but as soon as you and her make eye contact, you both burst out laughing.
"See I told you my superior body strength and technique would open the door," you joke.
"Of course. I look and sound kind of cute when I'm laughing on the floor," Kate observes through gasps of breath.
"Well, I did work hard to get my looks and intelligence," you try to smoothly compliment.
"Hey, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree," Kate explains to you as a matter of fact.
She holds out a hand, and you grab it. In one synchronized motion, you are back on your feet. You start wiping off the dust on your wool knit sweater, and Kate wipes off the dust from the butt of your yoga pants. Suddenly, you feel a lot closer to Kate. Finally, you get to take a look around the room with Kate. This time it appears you have entered an art/history gallery of sorts. There were shields, armor, and weapons on one side, while the other held some classical art.
"You know what I really like about this painting?" you ask Kate.
"I would say that the use of reds to contrast the blues?" Kate answers.
"Actually, yeah that is actually it," you say slightly amazed.
"I actually enjoy painting quite a bit, so that was the first thing I noticed," Kate explains to you.
"Huh, I'll have to try it when we get out of here," you say offhandedly.
"That would be fun to do it together!" Kate says enthusiastically.
The name of the gallery you discover to be "The Connections of Mind and Body." The name of armor and weapons side was labeled "Remember the Relics of the Past."
While it felt awkward earlier to be in Kate's body, you naturally acclimatize yourself to her body as you explore the art gallery. The door to the previous room had closed at some point, so Kate and you go on to search for an exit to the gallery. In a small corner, left of the entrance, almost hidden by the art is a small passageway. You and Kate can probably barely fit in there if you crawl on the ground. On the weapons' side, right of the entrance, there is a door which looks much like the previous doors.
"I chose last time, so you can choose this time." Kate says.
