As you look around the unfamiliar surroundings, you notice that the place has a notably large square. You could also see that it was probably the most busiest as there were many people either congregating or passing through the plaza. You figure you could find more information as to where you were here.
As you approach the plaza, you notice a few things felt... off. For one thing, you noticed that along with people, the entire square seemed to be inhabited by pigeons. While you didn't mind them too much, you are painfully aware at how bird-brained pigeons can be, being absent-minded in all sorts of situation.
That's when you notice the people there acting strange as well. Many of them looked spaced out with their eyes almost facing in opposite directions as if trying to look on both sides at the same time. A lot of them seemed to be acting strange in other ways, like bobbing their heads forwards and backwards as they walked, to tucking their arms either at their sides or under their pits.
Trying not to show your reaction to the unsettling environment, you quickly make your way to the middle of the square where you come across a large monument with a statue of what appeared to be a pigeon-like person surrounded by other normal-sized pigeons. That's when you learned the name of the area from the plaque on the base of the monument: "Pigeon Plaza, Avian Town"
Well, now you understand why everything around you was bird themed, but it was still hard for you to wrap your head around the idea that there was any level of fanaticism that would warrant this kind of behavior from people.
Still, you needed to figure out what to do next...
