The Olympian gods had a fondness for doing all sorts of interesting things - sometimes pleasant, more often not - to the mortals fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to catch their attention. Oftentimes, this could take the form of transformation into someone or something else - after all, one of the most famous sources for classical myth was the epic poem Metamorphoses! Of course, it's been centuries since the Olympians heyday; the gods themselves largely lost interest in the mortal world, and other religions came along and supplanted them. These days, most people thin they're just stories.
Or are they?
Olympia High was a typical high school in a typical American town, at least until the day when it all got started. A group of kids in a free period were hanging out in the library, and one of them pulled out an old book from where it had fallen behind a shelf - it was so dusty it looked like it had been stuck back there for years. Flipping through it, they found instructions for a ritual that was supposed to "summon the gods back to the world of man". They were bored and it didn't look that complicated, so they found a classroom that nobody was using at the moment and decided to try it out for a laugh. Nobody expected anything to actually happen.
Except it turned out the gods were listening after all, and being bored themselves, decided to see what all the fuss was about. And thus the gods of old paid a visit to an ordinary American high school, and, well, things weren't 'ordinary' for very long afterward. But which gods appeared, and where? And what happens to those who happen to be nearby?
