It was after eating his fill that Andrew began to notice a sore throat. He went to the bathroom for a look down his gullet. As he peered into the mirror his throat looked dark and scalely. His insissor teeth looked longer and two sores shown as red dots at the end of his tongue.
A hard swallow made him shake his head and wiggle his neck.
Andrew looked into the mirror, his neck seemed to gain length with each sway as his neck did wriggle.
Moaning from the discomfort he took some mouthwash and tried to garggle.
This burned like hell fire making him whence.
As he opened his mouth and brought a right hand up to touch his sore tongue's tip he saw something even more horrifing.
The hand which took and smeared the creme on his neck had now fingers armed with two inch long curved talons. His hand too was darkened in color like some aged tanned leather. His hand's palm was also dark but looked like the same scale like skin he saw down his throat.
"The ointment!" he groaned.
Looking to the jar in the livingroom yet he was ready to toss it into the kitchen garbage. Then as he picked it up with his changed right hand he had an urge.
His eyes could not move from the jar. He stared into its yellow color and watched his left hand move up and dig into the salve.
"No Andy, no!" he begged of himself not to do what some strange lust was making him do.
Closer it came to his face as two fingers chucked full of the creme like salve were about to smear his face.
Moaning his fate he smeared his face, eyes closed in fear, as the soothing warmth of the creme graced him in its carress.
The smell filled his nostrils as the taste on his lips again burned down his throat.
Again his left hand dipped into the jar coming with yet more of the salve as he creamed his face, forehead, and into his hair.
This time the warmth got more than just warm, it was getting very hot.
Sweat poured out his skin as the heat became like unto a fire burning his skin.
The words of the shop owner rang in Andy's head, "It make you American Man....ees joke in China !"
Andy wondered if the ole' man was laughing at him while the salve burned him into the Chinese Idea of a true American Man.
