Happy to be out and about, the twins darted out as fast as their wheels could carry them, glad to feel the wind on their steel faces and gravel beneath their tires and to get away from meddling Moms. They decided to explore the surrounding, see who and what they could find and see what mischief they could get away with.
They soon found their way to the small patch of greenspace at the heart of the Rest Stop. It was nothing special, just a plot of grass with few palms and succulent plants built around a small fountain. A few sunbathers were out and about, as were a couple of kids. Of them they focused on a boy. He was on the short side near the fountain. He was of average build for his age, had short cut blonde hair, wearing sunglasses, a t-shirt and shorts and was disinterestedly doing stuff with his phone on a bench.
Rachael wheeled up behind him carefully "How do you do?" she said loud and cheerfully.
The volume of the words and their electronic nature was enough to get his attention, he looked up and saw the silver skinned brunette robot girl in the green metal 50's dress. He scooted over in shock. "Wha...what are you?"
"Trouble. That's what she is." Another similar voice said smugly from his side. "I'm Sam."
"Well...um." The boy sputtered. Meeting up with Robot Girls was not something he'd expecting. "I'm Liam."
"Pleasure." They said in chorus, giggling afterwards. Liam began to blush. "So, what are you doing here?"
"W...waiting for Mom." He said nervously, though this was increasingly due to his awkwardness around girls in general rather than the fact that these particular specimens happened to be of a more mechanical bent. "So leave me alone!" He yelled at Sam.
He felt a brief sensation as his shades were yanked away, as well as a slight zap. "Well look at these." Rachael said as she held the sunglasses in her hands looking them over.
"Give them back!" Liam said as he got to his feet and his hair began to rapidly sprout and had a ribbon. He made a lunge for Rachael, only to run into her outstretched left arm and get larger more noticeable jolt. She tossed the glasses to Sam, who snapped them shut and waved them tauntingly.
"They're mine! UGGH!" Liam said as he rushed Sam, who wheeled backwards while white gloves formed on his hands.
"You wan't them back, come and get them." Sam said as she powered off. Growling in anger he ran after the giggling koroid as fast as his legs could carry him, the fact that this was not nearly fast enough was not a point he considered much. Even so the twins did not go full speed all the time and instead let Liam close in on them before throwing the glasses to the other. Grass slowed them down somewhat, but the grass that they rolled over had a tenancy of flattening itself out into hardened solar panels. All the while his shirt and shorts fused and turned into a blue dress while his features slimmed down and shifted and his grunts and bellows of frustration and rage became more high pitched.
After a minute Liam's ears were enclosed under a pair of growing domes, a change which she'd failed to notice. She did notice when she suddenly tripped over and fell forward as her legs began to fuse together. Their fun done the twins came over to her and picked Liam up by her increasingly silver arms and helping her to her new wheel. "Up we go." Sam said.
Rachael then handed her the sunglasses. The plastic bits had given way to metal. "Here you go. No hard feelings Lisa?"
L...Lisa then looked at with an look of shock on her chrome face now framed with a solid yellow 1960s bob. "Ugh...Fine" She said, accepting defeat with a bit of bad grace as she put her shades back on as they neatly interlocked to her head. "Just...don't do it again. Please." Her mouth had stopped moving on her mask like face and her eyes had started to pulse.
"Don't worry about that." Rachael said.
"Doing the same trick again and again gets so boring!" Sam filled out.
"Gosh darnit..." Lisa said in the electronic version of under her breath as her last changes finished. She was now another young fembot just like the twins as new memories filled her mind. She'd always been a female robot named Lisa.
"So Lisa, how'd you like to be our partner in crime?" Rachael said
Lisa's electronic mind raced in consideration. These two could be first class pains in the tailpipe (pardon the language), but even if they did give her the roll around it was oddly fun in it's way, and anyway they were cute. They had to be.
She struck a mischievious pose. "Sure." Over the next half hour they'd interact with Seven Girls and Eight Boys ranging from kids to teens. In the end they'd become fifteen chrome skinned retro Koroids who'd soon meet up with their Sisters and Mothers.
