The Magic Shop

Tim wants a new watch

Tim was a white 20-something guy with curly blond hair and a nice body. He was walking down the boardwalk alone one day on the sunny shores summertime New England. He lived in an apartment by himself and worked a couple underpaying jobs, but he couldn't complain. He was only just out of college so he figured this was gonna be his life until he found an actual job that fit his degree.

Today was a little bit different however as he had recently gotten into trouble with one of his jobs. His manager had had enough of Tim always showing up late. He had yelled at Tim for almost half an hour and basically told Tim to "be on time everyday from now on or get fired!" Tim was irked as he had figured being late to some fast food joint wasn't such a big deal but he needed the money and could tell his boss was one pissed off lady. She was an older black woman and scarred Tim when she was pissed.

Tim was thinking up ways of making sure he was on time. He could ask his adorable brunette girlfriend Kelly but he didn't want to put that much pressure on her. He could also ask his parents but they would not be happy. His phone couldn't even help as he'd also need to be on time during certain parts of his second job. He thought about a few more people but he realized he had to do this himself.

"Huh." Tim thought to himself. "I guess what I really need is a wa-" and before Tim could even think of the word watch, the mysterious store appeared out of the corner of his eye. "Was that antique store... always there?" He said. Though he decided he didn't care after he saw some watches in the store window!

He ran in and ignored all the strange artifacts around him, as all he cared about was the watch. The old man behind the counter was a little amused by the boy's impatience.
"Hey man." Tim said. "How much for, uhhhh, that watch?" Tim said pointing at the role swap watch. "I need to change my habits you know?

The old man could have given Tim the instructions or a warning about what it does but the old man was magic and had already sensed that Tim was an irresponsible moron who probably wouldn't even listen anyway. The old man could alway watch Tim on his crystal ball so he figured Tim could provide entertainment.

"Only 15 bucks kid." He said solemnly.

"Only 15? What's the catch?" Tim questioned suspiciously.

"No catch. They're only worth something if the collection is together and I already got two more of the same watch. So is that a deal?"

"Hell yeah!" Tim said without hesitation as he gave the man 15 bucks.

Tim walked out the store with the watch in hand and failed to even notice the store magically vanish behind him. He put the watch on and admired it's sleek black look. He looked at the front and noticed it was set to twelve noon.
"Shoot I should have asked the old guy how to reset the time. Eh I'll figure it out. I probably just gotta press this thing." Tim said as he selected the side button.

Unfortunately for Tim, he activated the role swap function. Reality altered as it swapped the last two people Tim was thinking about. Their entire lives swapped and everyone would think it was normal due to reality changing, while only Tim would be aware. The only question was, who had Tim last been thinking about?
