"What are you guys talking about? Jennifer Smith (no relation) asked.
"About Jake sucking his own dick." Ben said not letting Jake off the hook for a second. Jake instantly decided he needed to start making better friends.
Jennifer could see that Jake was embarrassed and said, "I like to think of that sometimes... when I'm alone." She gave Jaje a wink and he couldn't decide if it indicated genuine interest or an inside joke, but he didn't care. He was once again, at least in his mind, reaffirmed in his tenuously held mental image of the big man on campus he had been before his curse.
Jennifer smiled broadly at the dropped jaws of Ben and Riley and said, "I need to talk to Jake... in private."
The guys eyes widened and Jake stood up a little too quick. Banging his erect rod on the leg of the table. Everybody there heard it. Everybody winced. Nobody acknowledged it.
Jake limped up and started to walk with Jenny across toward the dance building.
As they walked, Jennifer said, "We have a lot of work to do before we have the pep rally. I talked to the principal and he gave us the rest of the day to get ready."
Jake was shocked. He didn't know whether to be more impressed that Jennifer had so much pull with the principal or that education was so undervalued at East Hampton that he could miss three hours of class in order to learn a dance routine for a pep rally.
Either way, he looked forward to spending time with Jennifer.
