"That takes care of that!" said the dragon with satisafaction as he smiled at the snarling cat trapped in his cage. "Now what to do?"
The dragon ended up flying to Shelly's room and curling up comfortably near her, hoping she'd make some sense in the morning.
The dragon awoke in the morning as Shelly moved.
"Good morning," he said.
"Hi... I had the oddest dream about yo--"
Shelly stopped midsentence, finally seeing her boyfriend-turned-dragon.
"Oh god ... it wasn't a dream, was it? Tell me there isn't a cage of mice on the table, " said Shelly.
"There is. And there's only three left," replied the dragon.
"I'm so sorry," Shelly said, picking him up and hugging him again. "I didn't mean to treat you like that. If you're hungry I've got a nice pie in the kitchen I think..."
