Nate turned the knob for the door marked Transformation and slowly walked in. His mind raced as he wondered what he would want to turn into when "it" just popped in there. The original fantasy. The only one it possibly could have been. The original one if it were. As if that were possible, that they could make that happen. He stepped into the hall and closed the door behind him.
He was taken aback by the length of the hallway that stretched out before him. It seemed to go on forever with no end in sight. The room was lit incredibly well with bright lights from overhead. Floor to ceiling mirrors lined both the left and right sides of the hall with barely a gap between each mirror. Nate took a deep breath and stepped into the hallway. He waited a moment and looked into the mirror to his right. His heart dropped when he saw his reflection. Any doubts he had washed away in that very instant. It was real, it was all real. He leaned in closer to the mirror and double checked his reflection. He looked like he had heavy five o'clock shadow and he had only just barely started shaving, and it was all down his neck beyond the collar of his plain white t-shirt. His ears were showing a slight point. He reached up and felt the roughness of the stubble and slight point of his ears. It wasn't an illusion, it was real. He began smiling from ear to ear. He took a step forward into the next mirror.
The reflection showed the changes had progressed again. The hair growth was a little longer. He smiled and his teeth were looking a bit longer and sharper. He looked down at his arms and noticed the same hair growth there too. His fingernails were feeling a bit sore too all of a sudden, as were his toes. They didn't hurt, but just felt odd. He took another step forward to the next mirror and marveled as the changes continued to progress. He was slowly turning into a werewolf before his very eyes and he wasn't scared, not one bit. His hair growth, the ears slowly growing out to points, the teeth growing into fangs progressed with each step forward. It was the seventh step when his thin fingernails broke away as long, sharp claws began to grow out. With the eighth step, he realized the front of his sneakers had ripped open as his large, clawed feet broke through. He ran his hands through his fur as he kept moving forward. None of it was painful, instead it felt good. He wanted the changes to continue as he slowly made his way down the hall slowly, relishing each change.
As he walked down the hall, he marveled as each change slowly came over him. His muscle mass increased as his body grew and reformed, his clothes growing tighter until they began to tear in places, tufts of brown fur peeking out. His face slowly pushed out into a lupine snout as Nate stopped to marvel at his transformed self. It was an impressive mix of boy and beast. Staring back at him was how he always imagined he would look as a werewolf. How he wished he would look. He let out a howl of approval, ecstatic at the incredible transformation he had just gone through. As he turned back, he was surprised to find the exit behind him as though he hadn't walked far at all. He reached out with his clawed hand and slowly turned the knob. He stepped through the door and found himself...
