When Mark regained his senses from his laughing he looked at Aidan again. “There is still something missing on you to complete the baby look.” Mark looked around, already knowing what he wanted to do, but Aidan should think it was a more spontaneous idea. He then started grinning, having found what he had been looking for. He walked over, grabbing Aidans discarded socks of the ground. He walked back to the still frozen Aidan with one sock in his hand and one in his back pocket.
Mark put the sock in front of Aidans neck, pulling both ends behind him. “This sock should be longer.” Because the sock had belonged to Aidan it really got longer between Marks hands until he knotted it behind Aidans neck. “Now I want this sock to change into a bib for you. But it shall keep its smell forever for you so that you are reminded what it was before. But to others it will smell as if it is recently washed. Like your diaper it will clean itself after use.”
Aidan looked horrified about the idea of having that smelly sock around his neck, but the idea of having someone rub it into his face to clean him? He started to protest again, only making baby noises but still expressing his displeasure to Mark. The sock meanwhile changed into a bib, a bit darker blue then Aidans onesie and with a smiling toony face in its center.
Mark used Aidans babyish protest for his last piece. When Aidan opened his mouth again he put the second sock which he had balled up before in Aidans mouth, making Aidan gag at the taste and smell. But Mark was fast: “You won´t spit that out.” Aidans eyes began watering as he was unable to spit it out.
“That sock will change into your new pacifier. Like the bib it will keep its smell and taste for you forever, but others will not notice it as for them it smells like a new pacifier. You won´t be able to spit or take it out alone, only others can take it from you. When someone holds the pacifier near your mouth after taking it out you will take it in without pausing. And you will suck on it out of reflex. Finally you will never get used to the taste or smell of the pacifier or the bib.”
Aidan started crying fully when the sock changed inside his mouth and he started to suck on it, spreading the taste further. On the outside it changed into plastic, masking his mouth completely. It had the same color as the bib. Mark laughed at Aidans discomfort. He did know that it was a bit cruel, given that he himself had made the smell stronger before only to torture Aidan with it, but he liked it that way.
He then spotted a black cap that Aidan had worn sometimes on the couch. He took it and placed it on Aidans head. “That cap will fit nicely with the rest of your clothes. But it should change color to the same baby-blue as the onesie and gain the same colorful stickers as it. Or better yet it will fuse with the back of the onesie, making it a hood for you.”
The cap turned soft on Aidans head and he could feel it connecting with the collar of his onesie. The only part that stayed the same was the sun protection front, shielding his eyes.
“So, now that you are fully clothed again you won´t be able to strip out of them alone. You can´t rip them off either. And if it rips somewhere it will repair itself. And it will be self-cleaning so that no one needs to take it off of you.”
Aidan was still crying from the taste in his mouth, but if he hadn´t cried until now he would start then. Mark took away one thing from him after another, leaving him in complete misery.
