Before Noah had a chance to make a new entry in the journal, the doorbell rang.
“It sounds like someone is early. Maybe it’s Jack” Margaret suggested as she winked at Noah. Jack and Noah had been friends since they started grade school.
“I don’t like him.” Noah’s father interjected from across the room, never taking his eyes off his newspaper. Stephen was never a fan of Noah’s friends, but he usually wasn’t vocal about it.
Noah opened the door to see Jack looking nervously at the ground. Before Noah could say anything, Jack smiled and pulled him into a tight hug. The feeling of Noah’s breasts squeezed against Jack’s chest made him jump. Noah’s new breasts were distracting at first, but he forgot they were there until Jack rudely reminded him.
Noah’s level of confusion tripled when Jack leaned forward and planted a kiss on his lips. As they kissed, Jack closed his eyes and breathed awkwardly on Noah’s face. Noah kept is eyes wide open, a look of pure panic on his face. Nothing about this was normal.
“Not in here!” barked his father through gritted teeth.
“Come in Jack. You can wait with us while Natalie gets dressed,” Margarete said as she shuffled the two teens through the door into the first floor kitchen. As she did so, Noah noticed her giving him another wink.
Noah rushed out of the kitchen and back to his bedroom. He picked up the journal and clutched it against his chest as he laid black on his new bed. His sheets were light pink and softer than any Noah had ever owned. He debated using the journal to get himself out of this predicament, but something deep in his mind told him to put the journal down and continue exploring his new life. He also wondered if his relationship status and gender were the only things that changed. Jack was known for being a sleazy womanizer. Did growing up with Natalie change his perspective on women?
