Jeff spent a good long while, he didn’t keep track of time, save for the changing of day and night, being fed upon. Hummingbirds, bees, and other insects all came to him... and pollinated his flower. With each exchange of plant,t pollen he could feel himself growing riper... and was changing to match.
Jeff looked down, bending his neck to look down at himself, His hind roots were stuck to his sides now... and well his entire torso was no more. All that remained of his once human form was his neck and the head attached, for his body had grown, twisted and shifted into the massive melon he was now.
He could tell he was a melon of sorts. His insides were mushy and juicy, but his skin was clearly melon patterned. Moving was out of the question, not that he wanted to or needed to. He was a plant, a very ripe and juicy plant.
Jeff, not really paying attention, felt a rumble in himself. His head shivered, before he realized something. He was being pulled into his melon body.
Jeff didn’t resist, he didn’t care, and felt as his head, completely, was pulled in, save the flower that once covered his mouth, which sat upon the outside of the massive melon in its new position.
The melon rumbled, poping a bit as animals flocked to it, continuing to feed upon the flower as inside, changes were taking place.
