"It's my daughter, she's vanished and not just her, the group she hangs around with has vanished too." Christine explained softly. "The worst part is the cops refuse to do anything about it. Six teenagers go missing and they just tell me there's nothing I can do!"
You pause for a moment as you read Christine. You've gotten a lot of nut jobs over the years so you usually dig deeper into your clients thoughts before they can even send you on a wild goose chase. It's a good thing too as Christine, she seems to know exactly where these teens are.
"You say your daughter vanished and the police won't help?" You repeat the information she told you. "Yet you know exactly where they are so why come to me?"
Christine looks at you in shock. Not because you've caught her out on a lie but because you've managed to read into facts she hadn't given yet. "Well... yes... I know where they reside and that's what scares me. You see where I live there's this old run down house on the top of a hill. When I was growing up people used to say it was haunted but it's worse than that. An old lady lives there and she's lived there as long as anyone in town can remember. I remember my final years of High School, people used to dare others to knock on the door or other things like that, even as adults we were too scared to go anywhere near that house and the brave few that did, disappeared."
"You believe this is what's happened to your daughter and her friends. That this lady has done something to them?"
"I know it has. A boy my daughter likes dared her to go there just for a twisted game the other popular girls could laugh at. And because of the old lady the police won't step in. They won't even punish the people responsible for sending my kid up there. A few of the other parents confronted the old lady directly, they're gone now too. While the others cower away, accepting their kids are gone. Not me though, I'm too smart to confront the old lady directly and too stubborn to accept my baby girl is gone forever."
"And this is where I come in?" You asked, Christine nodded. "I see, well you're obviously dealing with a witch, but you knew that already, what you want me to do is fight this witch and get your daughter back..."
