Harvey woke up to the sound of a blaring alarm clock. He stretched, and reached over to press the off button to silence the annoying blaring. It was just another school day for him, right now. He sat up and swung his feet over the side of his bed, putting them down so he could stand up. He quickly grabbed his towel off the doorknob of his dresser and went to get showered.
He left his room, flip-flops on and towel around his waist, and headed to the showers. Because he lived in a dorm, the luxury of having a shower of his own was foreign. Still, it was early enough that no one was really around, and those who were were minding their own business. Harvey claimed a stall and ran the water until it was hot. He then unwrapped the towel from his body and stepped under the hot water. He stood there for a moment and looked at his body under the flowing water. He had really let himself go lately, he noticed as he observed his hairy chest and gut. Even his pubes looked relatively unkempt.
He washed himself quickly and got out, wrapping his towel around his body again and heading over to the mirrors to brush his teeth. The job was quick, as a young university boy tends to do, and as he spat out his toothpaste he got a good look at himself in the mirror. He really needed a haircut and a shave by the looks of it. His stubble was certainly too short to be called a beard, but it was thick on his face - it looked like it had been a few days since he'd met a razor. His head hair looked floppy and too long. He made a couple of expressions. His stubble didn't actually look that bad, but he'd have to do something about his hair.
Harvey headed back to his room to get dressed for the day. He opened his dresser and grabbed a polo shirt from a hanger and the pair of jeans he'd worn the day before. He threw them on his bed, and then went to the bins at the bottom where he kept his socks and underwear. He reached down to the far left, and grabbed a pair of boxer briefs out of the leftmost bin and slid them on. He then grabbed from the rightmost bin, and pulled out a turban cloth.
Harvey was confused, a turban cloth? He looked again and saw three bins, the left for underwear, the center for socks, and the right for turban cloths. He shook his head, confused at what the hell was happening. He was angry - who the hell had fucked with his stuff? Even if he was being forced to participate in the Sikh Student Coalition for that stupid bird course, no one could get into his room and move around his shit! It didn't make any sense! Harvey, while pondering these thoughts, didn't realize that he'd put the turban cloth on the bed and had pulled out a pair of socks and the patka from the day before.
He stood there, fuming, as he put on his shirt and pants, then sat on the bed as he slid on his socks. Who the fuck could possibly do this, he wondered, as he brought the patka and turban cloth to the mirror in his room. He singlehandedly tied his hair in a bun as the day before, and put the patka overtop of his hair, and then began to wrap the turban cloth around his head. He was lost in his thoughts as he expertly wrapped and folded the cloth, completing his turban.
He huffed, taking a look at himself in the mirror. 'Ah well,' he thought. 'At least no one will know about this. I guess I can get ahold of the campus police if anything more serious happens.' His phone then buzzed. He checked the time first. 7:45. He had a bit of time before first class today. He checked the notification and saw something interesting.
