Michael and his sister, Vivian, sat in stunned disbelief as they watched the zoo vehicles drive off. The reality of the situation eventually kicked in as the two ran to the phone and called their father.
After listening to a wildly sputtered out tale of kidnapping, unnatural changes, and animals, Robert, the childrens' father, agreed to immediately go to the zoo and search for his wife. Michael and his sister, not wanting their father to go to the zoo alone, begged to tag along. Eventually, after much bickering, Robert relented. Within an hour the children and their father were en route to the zoo to rescue their mother.
Upon arrival, the family kept close together as they wandered through the still crowded zoo. Michael and his sister tried to peak in every window or closed door they could as they searched for their mother. An hour or two later, however, as the sky slowly began to darken, the search party began to give up hope.
"I'm sorry guys, I see no sign of her. Let's call the authorities and let them take care of this. They'll be able to do a better job of this than we can." Robert sighed as he began to turn towards the exit.
"No dad, we can't leave yet!"
"I'm sorry. Look, I'll call the cops right away. Just a sec."
"There she is!" Vivian exclaimed.
Sure enough, Robert and Michael followed their family member's pointed finger and found their wife and mother. A woman perfectly resembling Stella's well-kept soccer mom figure and features was sweeping near the entrance to the farmhouse up ahead. As the group ran closer, their delighted looks turned to confusion as they saw her outfit. Stella was wearing the tight rancher jeans and shirt worn by other zoo employees.
"Mom! It's really you!" Vivian exclaimed as she threw herself at the woman.
Stella gasped in surprise at the contact and turned toward her family as she was barraged with questions on what had happened to her. The face that stared at the family was not one of relief, however, but of horror.
"No, not you too! You all have to leave!"
"Not without you mom!" Vivian exclaimed as she felt her mother's crotch and pant leg. "Hey! You're back to normal as well!"
"Your daughter's right dear, we're leaving right now. Let's go." Robert exclaimed as he grabbed Stella's hand and pulled her towards the exit.
"No, you guy's don't get it. When I woke up, I had reverted to my normal self, but that woman kept uttering about attracting others."
"Nonsense dear, we'll get you out of here before they even notice you missing."
Stella eventually gave up and the reunited family headed towards the zoos exit.
