"Sure, I don't mind if you come along. Just don't be a dick about it, it's my grade that's being played with." said Harvey.
"Don't worry Harv, I'll be on my best behavior." replied Randy. "Hey, I'll even wear one of those turbans you love so much!" he said, laughing.
Harvey glared at his friend, but after a few seconds of consideration actually decided it would be a good idea. "Sure," he said, digging through his closet and grabbing a spare patka and a black turban cloth. He threw them to Randy, who caught them. "The meeting is soon, so we shouldn't waste a lot of time." he said, grabbing his own patka off the bed and quickly wrapping his hair in it. The turban cloth got wrapped around immediately after, this time with no mirror. Harvey looked in the mirror to make sure that it looked fine, smiling once he got personal affirmation.
He looked over at Randy, who was struggling to even put the patka on. Randy, in his struggle, looked over at Harvey already wrapped up and was taken aback. "You've done this for one day and it's already second nature to you?"
One day? What the hell was Randy talking about? Harvey decided to just laugh off the comment. "Yeah, do you need help with yours?" he asked. Randy agreed wholeheartedly, he had no idea what he was doing. Harvey motioned for Randy to sit on his chair, and then sat behind him. Randy's hair was very short, so Harvey didn't have to do much to contain his hair in order to tie the patka over his head. He then craftfully wrapped the turban around Randy's head.
Randy got up and looked in the mirror. "Wow, you're very skilled at this." he said, admiring the fabric of the wrapping around his head. "I can see why you like wearing this silly thing."
Harvey's face contorted into a sneer at that comment. "It's not silly." he said, offended. "If you're going to come with me tonight you're going to have to not make comments like that."
Randy was a bit taken aback." Sheesh," he said. "Calm down man. I can control myself, I thought you were the one being forced to wear the thing."
Harvey sighed. "Yeah, I guess." he said. "It's just been a really long day and on top of it all, going to this thing tonight is stressing me out, man."
Randy grimaced. "Well, it's only the beginning of the semester. You've got a long road ahead of you, bud."
"I know," replied Harvey. "I guess I just wasn't ready for everything to pile on me at once." He then changed the subject, a bit uncomfortable talking about this at length. "We should probably get going so we're not late."
"Yeah!" exclaimed Randy. "Come on man, it'll be fun. And at least I'm here with you, so you won't be totally alone."
Harvey almost wished that he was, afraid that Randy would act up, but he didn't say anything about that, just opting for "Yeah, I guess."
