Chronivac Version 4.0

The Wront Recipient

added 6 years ago BM S O Reality alteration

Arthur Adkins was a meek teenager of 16. He was short for his age, thin for his age, and a loser in all things. He lived in a modest house with his parents and older brother. His parents were wonderful sweet people, but nothing extraordinary.

His brother though. Kyle Adkins was something to behold. He had somehow inherited genes for height from his 5 and a half foot parents. He was strong enough to hold off a horde of grown men. He was attractive enough to make even the most conservative of men gay. To maintain this physique? All Kyle did was sit around and eat junk food. And he was 21. Kyle was usually out and about. His few flaws were that he was not that smart. He had dropped out of college, and wasn’t the nicest.

One day, Arthur’s two best (and only) friends came over. Olly and Jake were in the exact same boat as Arthur. Nothing special about them. The three were up in their room, preparing for bed.

“Arthur,” his mother called. Arthur obliged and stuck his head out the door. “I think your brother left some plates downstairs. Would you mind getting them? My back isn’t what it used to be.”

Arthur nodded. He told his friends to go to bed as he made his way to the basement. Kyle’s basement room was a disaster. He had plates of junk food piled on top of each other on his desk. Kyle was likely out on the town, as he normally was.

“Disgusting,” Arthur muttered. He shifted them around in a pile and hit his hand on something in the computer. It was a flash drive. He stashed it in his pocket and carried the plates upstairs.

His mother smiled at him at took the plates from him. She handed him a dollar and he went upstairs to his room. Already Olly and Jake were asleep. Arthur grabbed his laptop and opened up the file drive.

Bypassing all of his anti virus software, a program downloaded itself into his computer and opened automatically.

“The Chronivac 4.0,” Arthur read. It opened up a file called Kyle Adkins. Inside was a super fly detailed description of Arthur’s older brother. A 3-D model appeared of the stunning beauty that was called Kyle.

“Kyle Version 2?” Arthur read. He found the file for version one and came across a model that more closely matched himself. A bit older, different features. Arthur found a history log and read it.

“Kyle updated profile on October 17,” Arthur read. That was a month ago. But that can’t be right. His brother had always been the stud that he was today. Arthur was curious though. He reverted Kyle back to version 1 and a pop-up appeared.

It read awareness. Arthur made himself the only aware person, becoming a bit wary of this program. He hit enter, and Version 2 was replaced.

There was a slam of the door. Arthur rushes outwards and looked down. There was a scrawny looking man who had just walked in. He vaguely resembled Arthur and his parents.

But the man looked exactly like Arthur had programmed him to look.

Arthur rushes back to the machine, giddy with excitement. Arthur was smarter than his older brother though. He selected his laptop. Using the awareness feature, he made himself the sole person able to use the laptop or the flash drive and made it impervious to damage or theft.

With that out of the way, Arthur wanted to make himself and his friend son top, just like his brother had made himself. But how would he do it?
