Kiya was resting in her new bed, appreciating the softness, but mostly thinking back on her first day at WSA.

Sophie and Roland, from Animalia Ambassadoria, were there to greet her at WSA and help her out with her paperwork at the Foreign Affairs Office. After that, she was able to enjoy her first day of school, with Animalia Ambassadoria members helping her out.

She had completed enough remedial lessons from when she left Maelewano to when she arrived in Lyre and Animalia for her to enroll in
Somewhat unsurprisingly, her favorite class was gym. She enjoyed all the physical activities, and with Sarah and Mary Alice (who seemingly preferred Malice) helping her out, especially with the weight machines. While she didn't understand some of it, like the catcalls and grabs to the base of her tail, she was glad to have people helping her out.

One clas that she was indifferent about was the anatomy and physiology class. While she wanted to know many things, especially about her new anatomy, the giggling that accompanied some of the lessons were rather distracting. Fortunately there was enough to keep her from being distracted.

One thing that she was grateful for was the self-defense classes at Claw Coliseum. According to her classmates, there were always those who saw a fine physical form and wouldn't take 'no' for an answer. These self-defense classes were deemed mandatory after Heather's attack, so it was deemed to teach Animalians, especially uplifted Animalians, how to say 'no' without permanently injuring or killing someone. While she never meant any harm hunting goats near Maelewano, she had somehow upset the locals and intended to apologize more after graduating from high school and returning to Maelewano.
There was also a subdivision of those classes which was about teaching uplifted predator Animalians how to hunt while walking upright. She was grateful for these classes because, while she was glad to now be part of Animalia, she was still a hunter at her core.

While staying with Tom and Brittany wasn't the same as having her mother and siblings back, it was a good enough substitute. She especially liked playing with the new cubs, and made her a little anxious for her own. But that wasn't until she graduated, and until then she could wait.
