"Enjoy your new selves," the feline reception smiled and waved.
The first thing Vixi noticed was that the sky was now a painted blue, and the sun was not painful to look at and had a smiling face. Vixi startled and looked behind, and saw the receptionist now was an anime drawing come to life, not a real life equivalent, but a literal anime animation cell moving about. More than that, the entire store and its various products now looked like a background painting.
The receptionist of the free costume shop also now had cat ears and tail and dressed like a french maid. Vixi looked around, and before where she'd seen humans, she realized she now saw cartoon characters.
Countless brightly colored anthros walking around effectively naked with no one giving them a second look, some adult rated, while others were G-rated. Others were dressed up in victorian era clothing, others for sci-fi. There were also humans with bright colored hair carrying around giant swords wearing mismatched armor. Others looked like walking pencil tests and sketches... A shadow-puppet unicorn, a limited animation 1960s superhero, rubber hose animation farm animals going on two legs, there were also a couple clay figures walking about here and there. If there was a form of animation, here at the entrance-depo between the human world and the toon world... they were here. Though Vixi noted that toons of different age-ratings and different styles seemed to instinctively segregate from each other.
Vixi wondered, did her perception get changed to see the world like this... or was how she was before been a limiting perception of reality?
"It's all so incredible isn't it dear?" Raynar asked.
"Yes, yes it is," Vixi nodded. She saw an obese young man walk into the costume store... and then a bright red haired cat girl came out in a blue stripped swim suit, her eyes golden as her skin flawless. She was wearing blue boots and gloves, and hopped into her waiting two-story mecha (that of course had been waiting for her outside) and flew off with no one giving her a second look.
Raynar gave her a slight tug on her hand, "Come along honey, we'll have plenty of time for sight seeing after we've checked on the hotel."
Vixi nodded, "Alright dear!"
"I'm no deer, I'm a fox!"
Vixi nuzzled him, "And I wouldn't have you any other way."
Hand in hand, the two took a few steps, and suddenly were at the hotel. The big bold neon words HOTEL for all to see above the doors.
"What happened?" Vixi asked.
"I'm pretty sure we just went through a scene transition."
"Oh right, silly me," Vixi giggled.
Looking up and up, the hotel floors reached up into the clouds and into outerspace. Vixi hoped their hotel room had a nice view. This was their honeymoon after all, just imagine having a nice view of the moon!
"Do you think we can get some moon honey from moon bees while we're here?" Vixi asked excited like it was the most natural thing in the world.
"Anything is possible!" Raynar said proudly as they stepped inside.
And inside they found a beautifully painted hotel background, with every style from classic toons to CGI coming and going from the hotel.
Behind the desk was a shapely pink skunk woman with flowers in her hair with a name tag that read 'Rosey Skunkette' right on her fur.
"Why hello! Welcome to the Hotel! How may I help you?" She asked warmly.
"We're here for our honey moon, can you give us a room with a view?"
"Oh certainly! Just sign here!" She look out a large book from between her breasts and placed it on the table, perfectly in the middle.
Vixi's husband went first, writing in, 'Raynar Fox.'
Something about that didn't feel quite right, but Vixi shrugged it off.
Vixi then write her own name, 'Vixi Fox' rather than her maiden name, 'Vixi Fox.'
Vixi was about to ask about a bellhop to take their luggage to their room, but she felt dizzy for a moment. Since when did Raynar or her ever wear clothes? She wore her collar, but Raynar had always been wild and free.
Rosey Skunkette clapped her hands. "Mikey-The-Monkey? Please show our guests to their room!"
A G-Rated toon monkey hopped into frame. He had large black 'button eyes', and wore nothing below the waist, instead wearing a cute hat and vest. "Follow me! Ook-ook!"
The two rubber foxes followed the bellhop, as he hopped along.
A rubber neon rainbow ram was waiting for the elevator clasping hands with a rubber green lizard woman with a yellow front and a blue stripe down her back.
"Hi!" waved the lizard. "Nice to see we're not the only rubbers here! I'm Ashley! Ashley the Lizard! This is Casper The Ram!"
"Nice to meet you," Casper said as they waited for the elevator to reach them, which Vixi figure would be just long enough for them to have brief introductions.
"I'm Vixi, and this my husband Raynar, we're on our honeymoon."
"What a coincidence! So are we!" Ashley said excitedly.
There was a dig and the elevator opened, and the four rubbers and the monkey stepped inside. The doors closed with a ding, and up they zoomed, the inside stretching up, and squeezing inward, making the monkey in the middle be smooshed as the rubbers around him had their heads and feet expand as the air inside was pressed out of the middle.
After zooming up countless floors, the elevator car stopped, reshaped perfectly normal again with another ding, and opened up, all five stepping out of the elevator.
"This is our floor too," Ashley said. "We're in room Infinity-Plus-Twenty-Two-C if you want to visit!"
"We might, no promises though," Raynard said.
"Have a nice honeymoon you two," Vixi said.
The couples parted ways.
Walking along, Vixi felt a sense of oddness, with how her head and feet had tripled in size inside the elevator, while her waist and arms were made hose thin. She... she knew it was because the air had been pressed out... but wasn't there supposed to be something inside besides air?
"Here's your room! Infinity-Plus-Twenty-Three-B! Here's the keys!" Mikey-The-Monkey gave the two rubber foxes their keys and hopped along back the way he came.
Raynar inserted the key and opened the door, revealing lovely furbished, but surprisingly mundane looking painted hotel room, literally painted, everything no matter what way Vixi looked at it, it resembled a background painting. When she happily bounced on the bed (hitting the ceiling), it became a cell-painting instead however.
Vixi then went to the window, smooshing her breasts and face against the glass. They were SOOOO high up, she could see so much of The City below! She even waved at a UFO piloted by a single green alien with one eye and two antennas in a silver space suit as he flew past.
She'd never been to the Big City before! She'd spent her life on The Farm with her owners! Thankfully they'd been graceful enough for her to marry Raynar. Wait. Was that right? Something felt off again. Oh well, whatever it was, it could wait till later!
Raynar was already looking at a fold out map... showing everything from the Hentai District, the Christmas Holiday Special Town, the Halloween Special Town, Mecha Battle Field (reserve your tickets!) both grounded and orbital, the Wakey Antics District, the rival Magical Girl School verses Witch Academy, the Cutie-Wootie-Friendship District, Collectable Monsters Battles, the map folded out so it ringed around the hotel room twice.
So many places to visit! Vixi couldn't wait!
