Chris is a male lanky blonde 23 year old college student who shares a house with his friend Cody a glasses wearing lanky brown haired male who is also a 23 year old college student. It's a Saturday night and Chris has plans to go out and meet some friends at a local bar. He had just changing into a fresh pair of jeans and and was putting his shoes and jacket on. Cody sat on the couch in a pair of shorts and a tee shirt messing with his laptop.
"You sure you don't want to come out?" asked Chris, "I'll wait for you to change."
"Nah, I'm good," said Cody, "I think I'd prefer a quite night in."
"Okay, try not to have too much fun. I'll probably be sleeping away from home tonight so don't wait up."
With that Chris took off out the door and started walking towards the bar. About five minutes from his house, Chris noticed that he forgot his wallet. Silently swearing to himself Chris turned around and headed back. When he returned Chris found the door locked and all the blinds closed shut.
"Well that's weird," he said to himself as he unlocked the door with his key and stepped inside. Chris couldn't see Cody, but he heard the toilet flush and then heard what could only be Cody coming down the hallway back to the living room. Expecting to see his roommate round the corner Chris instead saw a man-sized naked brown fur covered creature with what appeared to be a tail enter the living room.
The surprised creature yelled, "What are you doing here!" in a familiar voice. A startled Chris jumped back in terror and tripped on something. As the blonde fell he struck his head on a nearby end table and went out cold.
Chris awoke several moments later to the creatures hazy face hovering over him. As panic again began to register in Chris he felt the creature touch his shoulder and speak, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, clam down dude it's me."
"Cody?" asked Chris in surprised recognition, "That's you?"
'Uh, yeah," replied Cody, "it's me."
Still confused and plagued by a sharp pain in his head but calmer, Chris carefully sat up and with cleared vision examined the creature in front of him. The glasses clad face was defiantly Cody's though it was more animal possessing larger incisors, a slightly altered nose, and large furry sideburns. Chris could see in addition to his fur covered lanky body and long tail he also had a pair of prehensile looking hand feet. Chris also saw that Cody's manhood was still basically human like.
"Why are you naked?" asked Chris.
"Oh, sorry," said Cody who got up and put his shorts on, "I was cutting a hole for my tail in these shorts, but then went to the bathroom before I finished."
"Why do you look like that?" asked Chris who was now comfortable enough to stand. "You're like some kind of monkey man thing."
"Kinda," said Cody, "remember when I did that study trip to China last year? Well, one of the souvenirs I brought back apparently used to belong to the monkey king. It turned me into this."
"But you were human like 15 minuets ago," said Chris.
"Well I eventually figured out how to return to a human form," said Cody, "but it's taxing to maintain. I have to go into monkey form whenever I can in order to get my energy back. This form is also more comfortable. That's why I was so excited for a quite night in alone. But then you showed up."
"Sorry," said Chris, "I forgot my wallet. Plus I didn't know my roommate was some kind of weremonkey."
"I don't know if weremonkey is an entirely accurate term," said Cody. "I mean nothing really bit me I just bought an antique cane from a shady dealer."
"What kind of cane gives someone hand feet?" asked Chris.
"Actually it's the one you tripped over," said Cody as he moved over to where Chris fell. He grabbed the golden cane with his right foot and passed it up to his hands. "Holding it helps me return to human form."
"This is a lot to take in..," said Chris. Before he could continue Chris felt a strange sensation around his backside. Suddenly he was hit by a stabbing pain in his rear causing him to fall to all fours. The pain soon subsided when Chris looked back to see what had happened he was surprised to see that like Cody he now had a long prehensile monkey tail covered in blonde fur sticking out over his jeans and moving around with a will of its own. Before he could actually react to his new tail Chris felt another pain, this time in his feet. He clawed off his shoes and socks revealing a pair of blonde furred monkey feet. The fur then seemed to spread from his feet ankles until Chris saw that his entire body was now fur covered like Cody's." A confused Chris looked towards his roommate who didn't appear to be at all surprised.
"I was worried this might happen after you touched the cane," Cody said. A smile then broke out across his monkey like face "Oh well, look on the bright side. Now we get to be weremonkeys together."
