There a box. A small box tightly tucked in bubble wrap. Mark looked at both ends of the motel. He doesn't have neighbors so it's highly unlikely that this is a misplaced delivery. Mark grabbed the box and went back inside his room.
Mark inspected the box and he saw that it has name on it but no return address. He peeled off the wrapping and opened the plastic box. Inside, there was a gun. Sort of. It's made of a material Mark never felt nire seen before. It feels like plastic but he know it's not. It's hard like a metal but when tapped, it sounded like glass.
Beneath the gun was a paper with his name in front. He swore that the ink used in the writing was glowing.
"Dear Great great great uncle,
Our school administrator tasked us with a project to make the lives of one of our ancestor better. I read that you were the most miserable family in the clan so I chose you. A 'paper' will appear three days later and you can detail your experience there.
Sincerly yours,
Your great great great nephew,
Jiblar"
As Mark finished reading, a bright flash of light appeared right in front of him. As soon as it came, the sooner it left. The paper Mark was holding is gone. In its stead was another paper.
"I'm sorry I forgot what to tell you what I gave. It's a raythat you can use to shoot people like those ancient 'guns'. But it won't kill them. Instead, it's going to turn them into suits. You can wear them and be like them. It's a cool gadget that I use to spook mom. When she's sleeping, I would use the gun on dad and walk around her room with dad's body. But with my head on it. She would scream and then she'd take away the gun. But she doesn't know that I have the schematics so I can print the gun as much as I want.
P.S.
I stole the schematica from uncle Ian. Don't tell him when he's born."
This must be some sort of elaborate prank. There's no way this is true. But he knew he won't find out until he tried it on someone. But who? He doesn't have neighbors let alone people managing this motel. There's people outside but it would be weird to just shoot at them. He need to be somewhere private. Luckily, Mark knows where.
