"Are they really hypnotized?", someone from the crowd asked.
"They are!", the ringleader confirmed. "Should I proof you?"
"YES", the crowd screamed.
"Okay, well ...", he turned to Jared again. "Jared you are deeply relaxed. What are you?"
"A monkey", he answered.
"Yes, yes, very good. But do monkeys wear clothes?" Jared couldn't really think. "No, they don't. Since you are a monkey now, it would make perfect sense, when you would start to undress yourself!"
Jared didn't hesitated. He shoved off his shoes and socks, leaving him barefoot. He then got rid of his shirt, revealing his muscled body. Then he pulled down his pants. The crowd was amazed. Many women and some men whistled as Jared stripped. At this point the ringleader stopped Jared. "Enough. You are a good monkey. In a few moments, I will wake you up and you will be Jared again, realizing what you are doing. When I offer you a banana, you will want this banana more than everything. And as soon you are naked, you will return to being a monkey, mind and body. Understood?"
"Yes, ringleader", Jared mumbled.
"Okay, 3... 2.. 1... Wake up!"
Jared needed a moment to realize where he was and what was going on. He saw his girlfriend next to him, deeply hypnotized. And he stood naked to his underwear on a stage in front of a crowd. "What is going on?", he asked, covering himself.
"You are hypnotized to be a monkey", the ringleader explained.
"Why am I half naked? What kind of sick shit is that?"
"Oh, that's easy. Monkeys are naked. Someone thought you are faking it. So tell us: would you undress for us and acting like a monkey?"
"You mean like stark-naked? Are you insane. Why should I act like an animal, naked? I am going to call the ..." At this point the ringleader showed Jared a banana, Jared stopped talking.
"Do you want this banana?", the ringleader asked.
"Yes"
"Why do you want this banana?"
"I don't know", Jared admitted.
"Because you are a monkey", the ringleader said slowly. "Say it!"
"Because I am a monkey?"
"When you are not sure, I can't give you this banana. Say it like you mean it!"
"I am a monkey!", yelled Jared. The crowd laughed.
The ringleader talked to the crowd again. "Just in case, you are still not convinced." He turned to Jared: "Monkeys are naked, Jared. Would you give me your underwear in exchange for this banana?"
The ringleader did not get an answer. Quickly Jared pulled down his underwear, leaving him stark-naked in front of the crowd. He walked over to the ringleader, passed him the piece of clothing and as soon as he touched the fruit the human light in his eyes extinguished.
