Home Sweet Home...Sorta

added by Anonymous 4 years ago A I

You rub your temples, you look over to the mansion, then over to where Bruce is still busy servicing the new cattle.

"Wow. To say the least, this has been a crazy day. Sam, would you mind if we swing back to the apartment? Want to make sure that Keith and Pat are doing OK. I left them in Keith's bedroom and didn't even say that we were going out."

"Do we have to? They're just a pair of dumb dogs. I'm sure they're fine."

You give Sam a look and the cat sticks out his tongue at you.

"I'm joking, I'm joking. Sorry, can't help be a little catty."

You groan as you head towards the car.

O O O

You enter Keith's bedroom and you see the two German shepherds flopped on the bed, seemingly snuggled up together. You almost want to take a picture of the cute scene when you smell something odd in the air. You notice the closet door was open, then remember what you stored in there.

Uh-oh.

When you look inside, you see the maroon button down dress shirt and necktie are still on the hanger. Well, at least Lincoln and Levi were fine. You check further and am unable to find either the undies or dress pants.

You hear some stirring behind you. Keith is sitting there, a devious grin on his canine features.

"Oh no. Keith. You didn't."

His tongue lolls out of his mouth and he glances to the corner of the room, where there appears to be a heap of clothes.

You walk over to inspect the clothes, there were the dress pants and undies that were your neighbors Jerry and Amy all right. And...

You make a face and turn back to Keith. "Did you have to take a piss on them AND take a dump too?"

Keith growls.

"OK. Point taken, I was out for a long time and maybe you didn't have a choice. But did you really have to do it on our neighbors?"

By this time, Pat had roused, the shep has a sheepish expression, making an effort to avoid your eyes.

"Oh no. You too? W-oh. You were just trying to avoid going on the floor?"

Pat whines, then gives a nod. Keith doesn't seem to have any regrets.

You shake your head and retrieve a plastic bag. "I better get these washed. Amy and Jerry are not going to be happy after this is all over."

You can only imagine what's going through your neighbor's heads, having to deal with two giant dogs doing their business on them. Maybe the wash would also help wash their minds and memories of the experience? But you didn't have much hope of that. When you put the two items of clothing in the wash (setting to the highest setting and putting in extra detergent), you noticed that Keith might have done some humping on the clothes too, but decided you didn't want to know for sure.

Outside the laundry room Keith and Pat are waiting expectantly. You sigh and head to the kitchen. "I'll get you guys some food." You retrieve some lunch meats and leftover chicken from the fridge and set the Tupperware containers in front of the dogs.

You flop on the ground, producing a squeak. You grumble and pull your landlord chew toy out from underneath your seat. This had been an absurdly long day. Sam leaps onto your lap, curling into a feline ball. You pet his back, producing a rumbling purr.
