My ears changed first. They navigated towards the top of my head and reformed into a pair of canine like ears complete with a covering of fur that matched the color of my hair. I soon had a pair of fierce looking fangs to match. My hands and feet also sported small claws. When Molly was away and I was alone I would examine my new features in the mirror. While it was a confusing set of circumstances I couldn't help but feel an energy and excitement around my changes. That excitement grew when my first tail arrived. It was clear I was becoming some kind of fox. My face began to push out into a prominent muzzle, my body became covered in fur. I found myself forced onto all fours as feet became large paws and my legs reshaped. While my body had become a fox's my size hadn't changed if anything I had gotten larger. I could also still speak in a human tongue. I assumed I would now shrink down and loose my mind, loose my ability to speak. I thought I was becoming a simple animal. Instead I sprouted a second tail, soon after that a third. All fear left me I knew I wasn't becoming a simple beast. I was becoming a kitsune.
I remembered reading in legends that kitsune could shapeshift. At first my attempts to take a human form were unsuccessful. By the time my sixth tail had grown into place I could take a human form. Though my ears, fangs, and tails remained visible features. Molly still wouldn't let me go out and kept me hidden behind a locked door so I spent my time reading books about kitsune and other fox spirits. My tails continued to grow in. I was getting bored with the isolation, bored with the books. My shapeshifting had seen some improvement, but I was getting too bored to handle the isolation. I want to go have fun! My ninth tail finally grew in.
"I can't take this boring place anymore!" you yell. You march to the locked door and with inhuman strength rip it off it's hinges. You run out of the house and into the open air outside.
"It's time to have some fun!"
