Oliver noticed the hesitant smile that formed after his boyfriend cleared his throat.
"So, would you like a little playmate?" David asked. "Would it be possible for me to be a kid, too?"
"Oh, hell, yeah!" Oliver chirped, using bad language in his little boy voice. "You bet! We'll have so much fun!"
He wondered why he hadn't thought of this idea in the first place, but then realized he would have been too shy and awkward to bring up something so intimate to his being. They were boyfriends, but there remained a lot they didn't know about each other.
His little boyfriend's excitement seemed contagious. David dropped to his knees and got his arms on Oliver's bare shoulders to calm the tyke's excitement. "What do I have to do, buddy?"
Oliver felt a jolt of energy from David's touch and wound down like a wind-up toy after the gears finish turning. He giggled. "It's easy," he said while slipping the ring off his finger.
David took the ring when his boyfriend handed it to him. "You're in luck. I bought all sorts of little boy clothes."
David slipped the ring on his finger and followed his boyfriend, clad in those Sesame Street undies, down the hall. There Oliver showed him the results of his shopping spree. As he looked through the assortment, one caught his eyes. He picked up a pair of briefs emblazoned with the figure of Bob the Builder.
"Good choice," Oliver chirped, impatient to have David join him at four years of age.
David took off his adult clothes and spread them on Oliver's bed. He felt a bit awkward as he tried to work a foot into the small leg holes of the Bob the Builder briefs. "Oliver, this is never going to..."
As soon as his leg passed through the briefs, the changes began. His body spiraled backward through his stages of maturity as he lost muscles, body hair, and an ample endowment. "...work," he finished saying as he brought the briefs up to his waist and let the waistband snap tight around his little tummy.
"Ohmygod! I'm little!"
"Yes!" Oliver squealed.
"You're little, too!"
"We're both little!" Oliver bubbled with enthusiasm. "What do we do now?"
"Well, I came to see if you'd like to go to dinner..."
