Gemma still didn't really believe this so called curse, so she did the most obvious thing to her.
"I always thought of you as a bit of a rodent," she said to Nicola wickedly, "show the world how ratty you are."
And so the world grew around Nicola as she felt pinpricks as new hairs covered her form, excluding a protrusion from her spine.
Out of the mound that was her clothes the little rat Nicola scampered. Before she could get to far Gemma exclaimed, "freeze!" In between burts of laughter.
"This is amazing! Oh imagine what I could do with this. With the two of you."
That's when she noticed their frozen expressions. Nicola was frozen in a glare of loathing, but James looked both shocked and protective.
"Oh but you... You need something special," she flaunted, "Oh why don't you do something for me.*
"Get rid of her, oh but not like you are. Your going to become a wild cat, without a recollection of who you are. You'll be a hunter with one desire, killing and earthing that rat. Only after she's dead will you remember who you are."
Their faces showed shock and fear, as much as the can frozen in place, as James's body complied becoming an orange tabby. He paniced as he felt his mind pushed aside by something much more feral.
"Well I don't want to wait any longer. Unfreeze and let the hunt begin."
