Today was the big day. The grand opening of her new shop. Orianna grinned as she looked around the store, triple checking that everything and everyone was in their proper place. The shoes on the far left wall were all straight and evenly spaced, the clothing racks were organized, the potion bottles behind the counter were all shined and perfectly lined up. After one last adjustment to the all the mannequins, the place was finally ready. Orianna beamed as she waved her hand and the closed sign on the door flipped itself to open.
She didn't have to wait long before her first customers stumbled in. The door jingled as the young couple entered. The woman was very small, barely 5 feet high, had hair the color of hot cocoa and fair skin that was covered in freckles. Her partner was almost her exact opposite. He was tall and toned with platinum blonde hair that he had slicked back. Ori waved the two inside excitedly.
"Welcome to the grand opening of Orianna's Oddities! I'm the owner and resident witch in training, Orianna Fairlight. How can I help you folks today?" She watched with a keen eye as the woman browsed, her mate following her around like a lost dog.
"We're just browsing for now." The brunette said, holding a short, red sequin dress up to her body as she turned back to her friend. "What do you think?"
"I think it would look awesome on you, babe."
"She." Ori interjected. Both customers gave her a confused glance so she vaulted into her rehearsed explanation. "Everything for sale here is actually a person. Or, well, used to be. Now they're all just objects. That dress used to be a girl name Rachel. She was my roommate back in school."
"You turned your roommate into a dress?!" The man asked, sounding somewhat horrified. Ori laughed and shook her head, her fiery waves bouncing around her pale face.
"Oh no! She did it to herself. On accident, of course. But that's the risks you take when you start practicing transmog magick." She shrugged, deciding to stop oversharing before she chased off her first customers. "I also offer potions, charms, spells, and hexes if you're interested. I specialize in inanimate transformations but I'll do my best to fulfill any request."
The couple thanked her and went about their browsing. After a few minutes the girl approached the counter,
the sequined roommate still clutched in her fingers.
"Can I help you with something, love?"
