Having exhausted herself spiritually, Camille and Ty headed back to their home under the fresh scent of river water and myriad flowers. Up in the trees, Ty pointed out a blue jay squawking away happily.
"Yeah?" Camille nudged Ty's shoulder.
"Yeah." Ty nodded.
"Done." The deer grinned, willing the little jay bird down to the ground so she wouldn't fall and hurt herself. "Oooh, she's a girl, Ty!"
"Shut up." The fae blushed. "Just because I was hot for Raven..."
Camille concentrated, her golden energy emerged, and the tiny blue jay was enveloped. "Oh, this is getting easier and easier!" Camille panted excitedly. "That's it, little girl."
Ty stood by the doe's side and watched in amazement as the blue jay gained her sentience and began to grow. Suprisingly, she was only young, perhaps a teen by human terms, and while they had both expected the sumptuous curves of a woman, the lean body of a still developing young girl emerged as she grew, only slightly curvy, youthful, still aging.
"O-Oh..." The bird laid on the forest floor and blinked feebly.
Ty carefully approached the creature and was startled as the bird turned sharply and gasped in alarm. "Hey, hey! It's okay! We're friends. Promise."
"Friends?" The bird blinked her brown eyes and looked over to the deer. She seemed inherantly curious, studying the deer and the humanoid with interest. "Ohhh. I'm so foggy." She held her head and sat up, Ty helping to support her.
"Aww, she looks like a Jane." Camille smiled sweetly, kneeling down before the bird and admiring her colorful plumage.
"Do I?" Jane blinked. "Is that who I am?"
"Yeah. You're Jane." The deer nodded gently, reaching forward to touch the bird's hand. "And I'm Camille. And this is your new home."
"Yeah. Yeah. New." Jame said groggily, starting to clear. She looked around and smirked slightly, just as the crows did, at the corners of her beak. "No, the trees. They didn't used to look like this. I remember." She looked at the two other creatures in puzzlement. "And... I was... calling. Looking for others like me. And then I was down here. I... I used to be..." She laughed slightly and held her fingers together to approximate her former size. "Well, I was different."
"You've changed!" Camille grinned widely. "I changed you, young lady! Do you like it?"
"Oh, yeah!" The young blue jay smiled. She held up her hands, stretched out her wings, and nodded. "Yeah, look at me! I'm really pretty this way!"
"I agree." Ty hugged the bird warmly. She giggled. Ty found her quickness to embrace her new existence endearing to the max.
"So... uh, who are you people? Uh, animals." She looked at Ty and blushed slightly. "Animal people."
"You tell her." Camille pointed at Ty. "We're going back for lunch. Do you want to come with us? Hang out?"
"Oh, sure!" The blue jay hopped up excitedly. "I've never had friends before! Or lunch! This is so cool!"
Together, the trio started back through the thick jungle towards Ty and Camille's home.
