There was sounds of crunching and crackling underneath Jason's skin as his metamorphosis into a squirrel started to continue. He watched his hands and arms start to look like they were shrinking more rapidly than any part of his body. To the point that his arms were the size he needed, somehow he felt more like a t-rex more than a squirrel. His fingers started to form four instead of five as well as small claws on each one. Small orange hair particles started to sprout from his pores all covering his body. A pain started to convulse on his butt as he turned an saw a tail start to poke out and was the only part of his body now growing as he shrunk to the rightful size. Not long after everything seemed to settle he was now a regular squirrel with still the memories and mind of being a human. He was in a heap of he human clothes and climbed out on top of them. He thought of his ex-wife and what she'd think what a dork he was as well as what she would've turned into, he imagined her turning into a bear and just tearing him to shreds. Though the resort doesn't have any harmful factors like that here were people just have instincts like as an animal, she would do because she could. He laughed to himself since he always imagined her as a bear and even acted as such sometimes in her moods.
He waited a while for his two daughters to come and show off their new animal features. Two deer came around the corner where his daughters had went down. He sped on all fours toward the couple as he reached them not even out of breath. Since he was looking from under them, he noticed one was a doe and the other a buck.
"Hey, you two" The two deer couple looked around and then focused their attention on Jason. "I while I was transforming my daughters went and turned into some different animal than me, or probably squirrels if I'm lucky. They're twins they're usually both together all the time. Did you them down that hall." They looked at each other and spontaneously burst out laughing. As they laughed Jason felt like he recognized their laughter. "Do I know you two?" He asked them.
"You still can't tell who your kids are?" The doe chirped still trying not laugh as much.
"Wait, Nina and Julie is that you?" Just when they were about done laughing it came back with a vengeance.
"Yeah, but more like Nina and Julius." Jason stood looking up now at his two daughters, which now wasn't the case. "Julie had the last minute idea that instead of two does, that one of us would be a male. Julie of course volunteered."
"Yeah, it's weird having a package hanging under my belly, it's not what I'm used to but I like it."
"Alright kids, let's go check out the forest." Jason almost choking on the last detail. He decided to climb up their legs and onto Nina's back so he doesn't slow them down, as well as not having to walk. Having a fast beating heart gave him more energy making it a blessing and a curse as he was more stressed and scared than he was used to, but happier and cheerful than normal as well.
They ventured into the forest as they talked and laughed along their way not knowing who or what they might run into.
