We started rummaging through the lab, looking for anything that could help this situation. I glanced back to Carolyn, the skinny 10 year-old adjusting her hold on Ellen, the 12 year-old now looking more and more uncomfortable with the growing fact she might hit square, and age, one. I stood by Ellen, in case of the growing possibility she'd make a brake for it. I realized now while Ellen was so adamant we fixed this before she became a child, as she appeared to get smaller she seemed to get a bit plumper.
"Hey now, this is why ya were so fidgety? ya weren't always all skin an' bones?" the now 8 Year-old Carolyn asked, still holding on to Ellen's arms.
"B-Be quiet! Cindy, hurry up and fix this!" Ellen demanded, now sounding more and more like a petulant child. her lab coat drooping onto the ground, and bunching up around where Carolyn was holding her.
"I'm trying, you whining and distracting me is just making this take longer" Cindy said, glaring at her now same aged rival, who was almost a whole head taller than the 6 year-old Carolyn, who's dress was now hanging off a shoulder, barely clinging to her slightly chubby frame.
"She's right, now shut ya trap before ya end up puttin' us back in diapers ya ungrateful brat" Carolyn huffed, adjusting her hold so she now had her grip around Ellen's ever shrinking legs.
Ellen huffed, crossing her arms, only to slap herself in the face with the sleeves to her lab coat, earning a chuckle out of Cindy.
"Be quiet, it's not funny!!" Ellen said, now only 6, and sounding like she was on the verge of a full blown temper tantrum.
"Oh hush up ya big baby" Carolyn said, her ever-shrinking stature having no bearing on her current attitude.
"Shut up! You're the only baby here!" Ellen whined, trying to shake the little farm girl off.
"Puh-lease, I was helpin' my ma an' pa wrangle up animals since I was a youngin', dealing with a brat like you ain't no problem, ya remind me a lot of the piggies anyways" The 4 year-old said.
"Quiet! I'm not a piggy! I'm a big pretty girl!" Ellen whined, only to stop when Cindy yelled in frustration.
"Where did it go? how is it not here?!" She groans, climbing down from the last table.
"Wai' a sec, is the ani-do not here?" Carolyn asked, the 2 year-old now having trouble forming words the right way, now holding up her dress with one arm to preserve her dignity.
"Y-You did this on purpose! you wanted to make me a fat little ugly baby!" Ellen said, jumping at Cindy, only to trip over her lab coat, which resulted in the 4 year-old crying her eyes out.
"Mah wegs gettin' funny" Carolyn said, plopping onto her bottom, now sitting in the dress. she seemed to stop shrinking, now only a year old, she rolled onto her back, whimpering a bit.
"Great, what are we gonna do now?" I asked as the 3 year-old Ellen sat up, rubbing her eyes.
"Well, I think we should-" Cindy said, before Ellen tried running off, only for Cindy to grab her.
"Noooooo!" Ellen wailed, her cry turning to a shrill baby's cry half way, as Cindy zapped her, turning her to a baby, only a few months old.
"Well that makes things harder..." I sigh, as the two babies started gibbering to each other, still seemingly arguing.
"Like I was saying, we should-" Cindy said, making her suggestion.
