The Year of the Pig Lunar New Year was a good way of shattering many myths and misconceptions about pigs, but like all good things, it must eventually come to an end. What always followed after such festivities was the inevitable cleanup, but that was always to be expected. But there was always some new things going on, especially with conversions and/or upliftings as well as new products.

"So Andre," asked his mother, via Skype, "how was meeting with Old Spice?"
"It was alright," said Andre, "As it turns out, some of those commercials aren't all about using CGI."
"They're not?!" said his mother in surprise.
"No," answered Andre, "Bazooka was able to demonstrate it as all an elaborate one-take using special props and camera movements. So not 'smoke and mirrors', just wires and pulleys."

"So who are the newest members of Project Phoenix?" asked one Horizon scientist to his coworker.
"I didn't catch their names," said the coworker, "But they're a male homosexual couple, and both have herpes." said the first.
"But what makes them unusual?" said the second, placing the notification to the Homosexual Anonymous program, and Chloe.
"Apparently, due to the internet (again), they decided to become a cross-species couple." said the first, looking like he was fighting off a migraine.
"Another headache from John Q. Internet." groaned the co-worker.
"That isn't the worst of it," said the first scientist, "One of them decided to become a great white shark, while the other decided to become an orca."
"Sometimes I wish that internet content barriers could exist for more than just internet websites and television." said the co-worker, also fighting off a migraine.

"So Ella, Simone, and Annie would like a disco in Lyre and Animalia?" asked one member of the PR-MD, looking over a request that had been dropped off recently.
"While disco officially died from the mainstream in the 1980s," said another member, "I don't see why we can't have a dance club."
"We are going to have to work with everyone from architects to staffing to get it to work, but we can probably open it up by summer." said a third.

"Anyway," said Clara at the next meeting, "Last year's spring carnival was fun enough that we've gotten enough comments to validate doing something similar for this year."
"We are going to have to do a different theme for this year." said Josephine, "I saw a comment that said that 'if something happens the same way enough times, it becomes boring.'."
"I think that's a rough interpretation of the saying 'variety is the spice of life.'."

"All Animalia Ambassadoria members," said the PA announcement at WSA, "Please remember to have your passes filled out before spring break."
"What's going on over spring break?" asked Malice.
"We've been asked to look over the new colony/archaeological site in Britain." said Abby. "We've been given the option to do it over spring break."
"I've been reading over what's already been found." said Sophie, "Apparently it dates back to Roman Emperor Trajan's time, but was razed to the ground during the barbarian invasions."

With winter grudgingly transitioning to spring, it was determined to be a good year for the summer IAC, even with the interesting things leading up to it.
