Because of the residual hostility (mildly put) between North Korea and the rest of the world, there was a lot of suspicion to why North Korea would be interested in Animalia. Fortunately the PR-MD agency was able to deescalate hostility enough for things to proceed, at least for the time being.

Part of what was believed was the trouble between North Korea and the rest of the world was a combination of factors, from the second half of the 20th century to today. One part of which was definitely leftover resentment from the Cold War between the US and the Soviet Union. While the Cold War was officially over, there was still some tension between the two nations, which wasn't helped by the way things were going now.
There was also the fact that Koreans were often displayed in different negative ways, especially on the internet. And with content creation software becoming more and more advanced, it was getting more and more difficult to tell what was real and what wasn't, especially the infamous internet content known as "fake news".
Also, because of the internet, there were a lot of myths and misconceptions about Animalians, especially the capabilities and abilities of Animalians. But with the introduction of Animalia, a lot of them were now quickly falling apart. The one that was seemingly the most surprising was how Animalians would NOT make good soldiers, mainly because of assumptions based off of animals in ancient warfare.
Because of this, the development of the PR-MD in Animalia was considered one of the best decisions ever made. Because of this, they were able to sort out what was real and what was fake. Two PR-MD agents was able to humor Mr. Hyun enough to allow Ling to remain in Animalia for the time being with a comment on how you can't believe everything you read online.
"I've read that story on how military-trained Animalians could have muscles harder than tempered steel," said the agent (definitely not that there was a real article), "But I've also read that 'sexy female singles in my area want to meet me' and that didn't really turn out to be true... err, not that I checked or anything."
"Well I've read that the Animalia virus originated from a genetically-enhanced super soldier project called the Olympus Project, which originated in WWII-era America." said another agent, "As it turned out, with a little investigation, that was fake news inspired by the origin of Captain America."
