Emily and Rick was sitting on a bench right outside the entrance to Hillview High, their old high school. Contemplating what to do with the reality altering polaroid camera.
Emily whom earlier that day hadd allmost an manic glee while using the camera, was now feeling kinda sick just thinking about it. Rick hadd never been totally on bord with the idea of using the camera in the first plase. He hadd gone allong with it and he did think it was amzing what it could do. But it hadd felt wrong of him to be a part of it. Maby it hadd somthing to do with the fact that Emily hadd used it on him.
Emily turnd to Rick. " You remember
earlier today. When I said that we hadd to learn how the camera workt before we, could use it to stop criminals and stuff. And you agreed. Did you mean it, Rick? Becuse I did not. I just wanted to have fun. And then I wanted revenge." Emily started sobbing. " And petty revenge at that. Stupid petty fucking revenge. Im a bad person, Rick."
"no, your not. You are good person at hart" Rick awnserd.
"Try telling Mr. Evans that, oh thats right you can't!"
"We still have the camera Emily. Im sure we can get him back, like you did with me." Rick said, trying his hardest to console his sniveling girlfriend but she pushed him gently away.
"No it's not. I only changed your gender physically. You were still deffently you. You hadd your memory and your life. But I changed Mr. Evans gender, personality, relationships and even his past. There is a hole life attached to the person he become. So then what give me the right to quote and quote fix Ms. Kingsley? How is her life any less real then what Mr. Evans was? And what about Sophie? If just change things back, I would be eraseing her from existence."
"Were you close to Mr. Evans, Emily?" Rick asked
"No. I have feelt closer to strangers on the buss. He was the worst teacher I have ever hadd. He was boring, grose and a huge fucking dushbag. But still he did not deserve to be literally wiped from history."
As their conversion continued, a student got closer to the school. The student walkt towards them and the school entrance, while loading some firearms. It was a school shooter.
Rick spotet the school shooter in the nick of time however. Instinctively Rick grabed the camera out of Emilys hands. And luckely Rick shot first.
"What the hell Rick!? Why did you just grab the camera from me, you jerk?! Have you not heard a singel thing of what I have told you? We can't just play with pepoles lifes!" Emily said, completely oblivious to the fact that mere seconds ago her life had been at risk do to a dangerous individual.
"Sorry, sorry ...No wait. I'm not sorry, I did what I hadd to. It was an emergency." Rick awnserd.
