As night fell, Karen looked through the window of her makeshift bedroom. Much to her disappointment, the only thing she saw was a view of the stars that appeared in the night sky, the lake that was actually close by, and the moon rising out into the sky. The only animals that she could see were just mundane birds and squirrels. Karen gave a sigh, both one of relief and disappointment. Her mother's voice came from outside of the room, calling her to dinner. Karen moved from her room and out towards the kitchen.
The Charlestons had a simple dinner that night, consisting of some soup and sandwiches. Karen set the table while Nichole and Moe served the sandwiches and soup. The family sat at the table and they started to serve themselves. "Not your usual fare, dad," Karen remarked.
"Well," Moe replied, "Things are tight now that the Gambonis are in town again. Besides, it's not like we can have pizza every night."
"Also," Nichole added, "I don't think we can afford another move."
"Yeah," Moe agreed, "And I hope this whole sting operation won't last long. I took out a big loan to buy the new restaurant, and if we have to leave it, I'm not sure I could get another one." He sighed as he rubbed the bridge of his nose. "This could be our do or die moment. If I lose the restaurant and go bankrupt..."
"I'm sure things'll be fine," Karen said, "I mean, they got the FBI here and everything. They're going to show that creep to not mess with us."
Moe grinned at Karen as he said, "I wish I shared your optimism, but we're on a time limit. The first payment on that loan is due in a few weeks, and if we're stuck here, we can't get the new Moe's Pizza up and running. If we can't get that running, we won't be able to keep the loan."
Nichole put a hand on Moe's arm, saying, "It'll be fine, at least for a little bit. There are a few tricks that I know that could help us if we need it."
"Yeah," Moe said, smiling at Nichole, "Always knew my foxy lady had a few things."
Karen grinned at the two and then asked, "So, you two going to go werefox?"
"Karen!" Nichole exclaimed while she frowned at her daughter.
"What?" Karen replied while shrugging, "Dad's always been calling you 'foxy', and I figured that since we're here..."
"Karen," Moe interjected, "We have no plans with changing anytime soon. So you can drop it."
"Fine," Karen said getting the hint. After eating some of her soup, she asked a question. "Do you think the rumors are true? That this is the more 'wild' side of town."
"I know what Ms. Strange said," Nichole replied, "and even if this is the more wild side, I'm sure the weres here are going to show some discretion. It's not like they're going to howl out the presence or something."
As soon as Nichole said that, a cacophony of howls sounded through the walls. Karen tried her hardest to muffle her laughter before saying, "You were saying, Mom?"
Nichole sighed as she said, "I just hope they won't do that throughout the night."
"Oh, I'm sure they'll cut out at two or three in the morning," Karen said, still suppressing her laughter. "Good thing we don't have anywhere to be in the morning."
"Yeah," Moe said in response, "but getting sleep before dawn would be nice."
With that, the family finished their dinner and turned to their activities for the evening.

Nichole borrowed Karen's book, and she was flipping through the pages. She stopped on the werefox page and studied the drawings on the page. She looked hard at the werevixen that was displayed on the page. The werevixen had an hourglass figure, but with large breasts. Nichole noticed that the werevixen's breasts fit with the contour of her body, even with their size, and that they didn't sag down.
"Do these things not obey the law of gravity?" she remarked to herself. She continued to study the drawing, and she noticed just how sensual the werervixen body was. She had an hourglass figure, but not petite. And not just one part of her body was sensual, but every part as melded to a whole. Nichole was starting to understand the draw of being a were a little more.
Moe broke Nichole's concentration when he got into bed with her. "Good night, dear," he said as he kissed her on the cheek before turning over to go to sleep. Nichole put the book away and started to settle down to sleep. There was one thought on her mind. "Maybe".

Karen was fortunate to have a TV in her room, and it helped her pass the time. Once the primetime shows were finished, she turned off the TV and headed to the bathroom to prepare herself for bed. Once she got back to the bedroom, she turned off the lights and headed to the window. She opened the window, and the cool September air flowed into her room. She could hear the familiar wind and crickets in the night air. More than that, she could hear all sorts of howls, growls, purrs, and other animal noises. She noticed that these noises were much louder and frequent than in her other home. This was definitely the more wild part of town. Much to her disappointment, though, she could see anything. Perhaps it was because of the forest or the darkness, but her eyes couldn't pick up anything. Disappointed, she went to bed.
As Karen drifted off to sleep, she heard something distinct. It sounded like a woman was moaning, and it sounded rather close by. Karen took a breath as she crossed her legs. A part of her just wanted to lay there, but another part of her wanted to go and look. She thought about her options carefully as she slipped off the covers from her body.
