Chad rose in enforced silence, while his captor drove him and whistled. Say something! Why are you doing this? You cannot possibly being doing this? No one can change people into shoes! I must be hallucinating. I bet there was LSD on that drawstring or maybe peyote or-
"Shut it, Chad! I'm the only one who can hear you, and you're pissing me off. I'm the only one who can change you back, and if I choose to make your transformation permanent, you will be silent permanently. By the way you're boots, not shoes. Ryan Stenchish is going to boot camp, and you're his boots. If that doesn't teach you to be humble, nothing will, and daddy will make your change permanent. You know daddy needs a new pair of shoes," Sal said with a snicker.
He then turned the radio to heavy metal and cranked the volume.
Chad was silent. "Welcome to the jungle! It gets worse-" blared the radio. Gets worse alright, Stenchfoot was going to be putting his feet inside Chad, and then traipsing around some mucky bootcamp.
The car stopped. The engine died. The music stopped. The bag containing Chad was airborne. The car door slammed.
"Yo. McGurk!" Sal shouted.
"Hey, Sal, go inside. I'm waiting for Standish, he's got five more laps, " said McGurk.
Sal went inside. He saw a couple young guys wearing only workout shorts waiting outside McGurk's office. They were seated talking, but stopped when Sal walked toward them.
"Hey, guys, waiting for Coach McGurk?"
"Nah, waiting for our bud Ryan Standish," said the shorter guy.
"What Carter means, sir, is that we know Coach is shipping Ry out to some bootcamp tonight, but Ryan doesn't know it. We wanna see his expression, when he finds out."
"Okay, he's Carter. You're?"
"Horst."
"Well, Horst and Carter, your buddy has a few more laps to run, and these boots are for him to wear to bootcamp. You think you could finish lacing 'em up and polishing them for Ryan?" Sal said tossing the bag into Horst's lap.
Chad was terrified as he felt Horst's calloused hands on is naked skin. He could see he really was at Standish's school. He shouted, but Horst was oblivious to Chad's words. The coach smiled evilly down at him, and disappeared through a door.
"Yes, sir!" Horst said way to eagerly as he unwrapped the bag and pulled Chad out. He added, "You can wait in his office, and watch ESPN. It's always on."
Sal nodded, and went in the office. The TV was blaring ESPN. He wondered why the two boys were so eager. He looked out the window through the blinds. McGurk was yelling at Standish. More laps, probably. He decided to check on Horst and Carter.
