While Mardi Gras was one of the more "popular" celebrations, and with specific attractions having greater attention, there was still plenty other things to be amused at, especially at those who had a little too much to drink, and were now dealing with the consequences.
What was undeniably the funniest was Tyra finding out about the bill that Heather had left her with, and the lecture that followed. What made it even funnier was the fact that Tyra delivered the lecture while Heather was still hung over, thereby making both worse. Fortunately, or unfortunately (depending on how you look at it), Jeremy didn't put any eggs in Heather.
There were also many hung over "questions" that many Animalians were confused with, but were easily explained as 'stupid, sloshed questions'. Many of them were variations of the most famous question of this type: "Did anyone get the license plate number of that truck?"
One really amusing thing was placing passed out victims in honeymoon suites with wedding bands on their hands and having no clear idea of what happened. If any had boyfriends or girlfriends, they made it even funnier as the "angry-ex" part of the game called "How did I get here?" It was inspired, mostly, by the infamous 'What Happened?' movie known as 'The Hangover'.

Herman and Jason, having officially changed their last names to Oceanroar and Clearwake after their after-conversion check up had officially declared them clear of herpes, had celebrated it with a double dosing with each other. But after the parade, and they were ready to enjoy the Meat Market, they had discovered, much to their chagrin, their awakening heterosexuality. Fortunately there was a sign-up sheet for Homosexual Anonymous for them to register themselves, During their first class, they had learned about what was now Animalia's greatest headache, after hypocritical politicians. While there weren't any "available" Orca or Great White Shark Animalians for assigning, there were two lesbians who were on the "waiting list" who were perfectly happy to skype with Herman and Jason while getting to know them before they were converted.
It should be said here that, during their double dosing, that Herman's malehood was a comfortable balance between "black, but humanlike" and "pink, but well-tapered", but what was most surprising was that it was prehensile to a degree. While it wasn't capable of "holding things" but it would certainly make things more interesting.

During the prep, the reason why there was going to be an Animalia "comic-con" that was going to be part of the Spring Carnival was revealed. While some of it was because of not-so-decent artwork of Animalians as well-known superheroes and heroines, the main one was that the comic book collection discovered by Iphis and Ianthe had extremely rare gems, but the "Cullinan Diamond" was Action Comics #1 that was in mint condition. While most of it was more confusing to uplifted Animalians than converted Animalians, everyone was looking forward to it.

The one that was having the most fun during Mardi Gras was, ironically, Adi. While initially reluctant to take part, especially since her costume was the harem dancer's outfit that she had received from an unknown admirer, she was able to warm up to it. Especially since she seemed to draw a lot of drunken louts who would pass out before causing her any harm. In aftermath of that, she would enjoy writing "perverted person" on their foreheads in easily washable marker, which would often cause much amusement to everyone, except those who had the word written on their forehead.

While everyone was winding up (and cleaning up) after Mardi Gras, there was still the upcoming Spring Carnival. But that wasn't until next week, so there was plenty of prep.
