Overwhelmed by distress, Rick could only moan as he saw the image of a big, furry black & white dog featured on the picture. A husky dog, precisely.
The changes happened in the nick of times. Already, he was standing on all fours paws, panting in a blissful state. He had forgotten fastly about his former condition, remembering being a dog only, as much as Emily was as a cat.
Jamie and Lucy, as much as they weren't fond of her, were more of the dog-person category. This translated to them beaming over Rick, loving him the same as a human child.
" My, what a precious boy he is ! " noted Aunt Lucy, gripping him and giving him some fond cuddling.
Rick couldn't care less about the fact that he had been robbed of his humanity. As a dog, his main focus was to accept with great joy all the attention that he was given.
Panting some more, his tongue rolling by his side, this felt like pure ecstasy. Not even the smallest part of his brain wondering that perhaps there was maybe something wrong with himself was powerful enough to overcome the surge of sheer happiness at this moment.
After that, he got up, shook his body, and scratched himself behind the head, adding another moment of pleasure for the husky dog. Rick was still too dense to realize that minutes ago he used to stand there as a child.
Jamie was pondering the moment.
" Come on, Auntie ! " she said to Lucy, " let me take a picture with you and Ricky. See how it renders... "
Aunt Lucy willingly agreed to that. Holding Rick in her arms, she braced as Jamie took yet another photo of the two.
