It was hard to choose, so the only thing he had to do was pick like any other normal person.
“eenie meenie miney mo, catch a tiger by his toe. If he hollers let him go. Eenie meenie miney mo. My babysitter will be you!”
He looked at where his finger was pointing. He wasn’t disappointed, since they were probably the best one of the three to help him not die. He messaged the babysitter, asking if they’d be able to babysit that day. They responded with “No sorry, I’m currently busy with a different family. How does tomorrow sound?” He was eager to finally meet someone to take care of him, but he knew he had to wait. “Yea tomorrow sounds good. Are you able to babysit all day?”
He waiting for the babysitter to respond, then he got a response, “Yea sure.”
Jack was cheering on the inside. All his problems with this transformation stuff is gone.
—————————The next day—————————
It was 10:20 am, which is when he agreed with the babysitter to meet. Jack was about to message them when he heard a knock at the door.
He opened it, and greeting himself to the babysitter.
“Hi I’m Jack. It’s nice to meet you!”
“Hi my name is Hannah. It is nice to meet you too. Where is your son anyways?”
Jack pulled out a green marker and drew on his arm. “This may sound weird but wait till this turns red! And don’t freak out! Last time something happened I was barely back to my original body.”
“What do you mean? I feel like I need to call the cops.”
“Don’t! Having them involved will probably send me to government labs to be tested on till I die.”
Hannah noticed on Jack’s arm that the once green mark turned red. “Do you need a Doctor?”
“No need. All I need is someone to keep me-“
All of a sudden with no warning to either of them, Jack shrunk down. “Well, I’m Jack, and I am the one you’ll be babysitting!”
Hannah passed out at the sigh of him. Jack felt guilty, thinking of the worst. Now he had to redeem himself in a way that’s beneficial to Hannah.
————————A Few Hours Later———————
Hannah woke up, still on the floor. She now had a pillow beneath her head, and a blanket over her body. “What the hell?”
“Well I’m sorry my toddler body couldn’t put you on the couch!”
She turned around to see a toddler laying down next to her. She started to freak out again. She backed up away from Jack, and reached into her bag for pepper spray. “What the fuck is wrong with you?”
“Well to be quick, I randomly transform into a 3 year old between the times of 3 am and 8 pm. I normally transform three times a day, but that’s on the good days.”
“So you’re not a child rapist?”
“What the fuck? What gave off that idea?”
“Oh I don’t know, you not wanting the cops, not immediately showing me your son, and maybe it’s because I passed out.”
“You passed out by shock, not by drugs. You need to change your view on people Hannah.”
“I’m sorry. Is there anything I can do?”
“Well I am a toddler, and you’re a babysitter. You could put two and two together and take care of me.”
“You’re right! Do you need me to help you put clothes on. It’s a little cold, and wearing just a diaper won’t help.”
“That would be nice, but before you do that I need a change.”
“Oh ok. Just show me where you keep your changing table.”
Jack led Hannah to his room, where he reached under his bed to give her all his changing supplies. He climbed on the bed and laid a towel beneath him. She untaped his diaper and cleaned up the mess he made inside. Then she put a clean one on him and taped it up.
“There, all better! Now where are your clothes?”
Jack hopped off the bed and reached under the bed once more, for a cardboard box. He pushed it towards Hannah, who opened it for him. She looked shocked, and a little surprised.
She pulled out a single onesie, a pair of socks, and shorts. “Are you washing some clothes as we speak?”
“Nope. This is all I have, since I don’t go outside in public. In my house, I can either stay in just a diaper, wear shorts over it, or wear a onesie.”
“This won’t do. What if you get it dirty?”
“I’ll just wash them.”
“Alright, give me your legs. I’m going to dress you.”
Hannah helped the toddler once man into the onesie, then looked around his room for some more clothes.
“Do you have any shoes? Maybe some socks?”
“I usually walk on the floor barefooted unless I have my onesie on.”
“How are you still alive? Doing that can make you sick!” She kept looking around his room for something else, and looked throughly.
“Whatcha looking for?”
“Your wallet. My money won’t cover for everything we’re gonna buy you.”
“That seems fair. We could have it ordered online if you’d like.”
“No, I think it’ll be better for you if we went to the store. You need some sunlight and exercise, and the store isn’t far from here.”
Hannah walked into the hallway where Jack transformed and reached into his pockets and grabbed the wallet. Jack was behind her, ready to leave.
“Ok we’ll have to walk there since you don’t have a car seat.”
“That’s alright, I don’t weight that much so you could carry me part of the way.”
Hannah opened the door and picked up Jack. “Alright then, let’s head out.”
