When Ike got up again, Kyle and Trevor felt rested as well and followed suit.
"I’m waiting for you, guys! Chop chop!" pressed Ike. "I don’t want to get back to the cabin after dark."
"Are you scared of the dark, big boy?" mocked Kyle as he followed in his steps.
Ike blushed a bit, but still mustered to answer back.
"No. I just don’t like to stumble in the dark and risk having my feet caught into something and fell, Metalface."
"Don’t Worry, Ike. We will be back before the sun sets." said Trevor, knowingly. Immediately, Ike’s shoulders seem to relax as his pace also became more natural and less tensed.
The hike went fine, but also more quietly than before the rest, if it were possible. The scenery was great, the air was fresh, but it became boring after a while : it was repetitive for most of the time, and the breathtaking spots seemed to be isolated and even less accessible than the rest of the path.
Trevor was growing bored of all this, and he pondered with the idea of using his new skill a few times, but turned the idea away as he didn’t want to just talk them to be back at the lake. It was not only too easy, but also a very dull way of ending his suffering. He could also edict himself to have the stamina of a marathonian, or yet again to be a real nature-lover like Ike, but besides the risk of becoming a nudist as well (which didn’t actually bother him all that much), he still thought these options would be the easy way out. Not challenging enough for Trevor, who also wanted his way in, now that he messed his friends up a bit. He sighed to himself :
"I need a good idea!"
And one thing was sure : he almost instantly got one.
"Hey, guys, I gotta take a leek. Give me one sec, please." And one thing was sure, you now felt the very characteristic pressure in your stomach...
Ike sighed but accepted your request. "Sure, Trev, but don’t complain later that we lost our pace!"
"C’mon, Ike! It’s not as if Trevor decided that!" Kyle interjected in yourTrevor’s defense, not knowing how wrong he was. As they started bickering friendly, Trevor walked a bit back on yourhis tracks to make sure they couldn’t hear him. He unzipped his fly and muttered to himself :
"For the rest of this trip, everytime Kyle or Ike will mention me, I will become slightly more like their vision of a perfect man."
As Trevor shook the last drops in a relieved moan, he heard Ike’s voice, who was starting to get impatient.
"Have you lost your way back, Trev, or what?"
"Coming!" replied Trevor as he appear to them. He felt a tingling in the stone on his chest, but had no idea if he changed in any way.
The group resumed the hike.
