Karen laid in her bed, listening to the noises coming from the open window. She could hear growls, howls, and even an occasional moan and groan. It was all too much for her, and she had to look. She got up from her bed and headed to the window. Looking out, she couldn't see much as there wasn't much light in this part of town, and the woods limited her sight to a few feet. She sighed as she looked around finding nothing. It was at that point she had this crazy idea.
Karen walked to the door for her bedroom and opened it up slightly. The cabin was dark, and she could tell her parents were in their bedroom probably asleep. She quietly walked into the living room and took a moment to examine her surroundings. There were two doors leading outside. One door led to the front of the cabin and towards the road and driveway. The other was towards the back of the cabin and headed towards the woods. She headed towards the back door and put her hand on the doorknob.
It was at that point that Karen remembered Tara's warning. "Just stay indoors or else you might see something you don't want to see." She started to consider the actions that she was about to take. On one hand, if her parents caught her, she'd be in so much trouble. And then there's the possibility that the creep Marcus was in town, and if he saw her. On the other hand, she rationalized that she's in a rural part of town, far away from her home. The odds of Marcus finding her would be very low. And there's a part of her that really wanted to go into the woods and see the weres. Her hand was on the doorknob of the backdoor as she made her decision.
