Betty had two regular caretakers--a nurse, Beulah Johnson, and a local high school student and wrestler, Kevin Barker, who did the heavy lifting to get Betty in and out of her chair. Betty wanted to see what their changes were. She nervously hoped that they hadn't changed into something that hated ogres.
"Beulah? Kevin?" she asked as she walked down the ramp to Beulah's room and the space Kevin--who slept at home--used when he was on-site. The feisty young ogre girl was taken aback when she saw a magnificent bearded centaur with a cute, winged pixie sitting on his massive shoulder. "Kevin?" she addressed the centaur. "Beulah?" she addressed the pixie.
She was greeted with the combination of the deep, rumbling laugh of a male centaur with the tittering of a pixie. "Not exactly, Betty" said the centaur. "That is you, isn't it? You look great!"
Betty actually felt herself blushing under her warty brown skin. She gave a tentative twirl. "Isn't it great! I think what I am is an ogre! But I want to be a nice ogre! But what do you mean not exactly?"
The pixie, which Betty now recognized as a female, spoke. "He means he's Beulah, and I'm Kevin" She gave her wings a flutter.
